Dear Selection Committee,
tgonzalez2@dentonisd.org
With 17 wonderful years working as a dedicated, student-focused educator for Denton
7200 Desert Willow Drive Independent School District, I have spent my professional career as a Teacher, School Counselor, and
Assistant Principal for Title 1 campuses as an agent of change and hope in today’s educational climate. I
Denton, Texas 76208
am fortunate to have an array of experiences that call me to the next step in my career. It is with joy and
determination that I aspire to be a Principal in Denton Independent School District.
After graduation, I was an eager Teacher with a wild notion that I was ready to conquer the
world. Little did I know that my kindergarteners would teach me lifelong lessons in flexibility, patience,
perseverance, and never giving up hope on my dreams. During those first years of teaching, I realized
who I was and the professional I dreamed of becoming.
With my love for people and my heart for young minds, I began graduate school to pursue a
Master’s of Science in Counseling and Development with the certainty that as a School Counselor, I
could continue to encourage hope, confidence, and determination in young minds. It was a rewarding step
in my career to support students, staff, and the community, especially families in need.
We never stop learning, and we never stop dreaming. With that, my heart spoke, and I pursued
a Principal Certification; it felt right. As a leader, I could use my strengths and experiences to benefit
teachers and the lives of our students. My position in leadership is a rewarding one as I have the best of
both worlds. Each day I strive to be an agent of change. I hope to leave a lasting impact on those around
me and to be intentional with our students and staff.
I am a dedicated, resourceful school administrator with a strong commitment to fostering a
campus culture that encourages communication, student diversity, supports campus values, and staff
development. I am a tenacious leader, committed to promoting a safe, inclusive, and effective learning
environment for all. I am a determined, valued, energetic, and trustworthy professional eager to maximize
learning experiences as a hopeful and proud leader.
A wonderful support system of believers, mentors and partners in education have supported
me through my failures and celebrated with me in times of success. With hope, determination and
tenacity, I have chosen to follow my dreams and make them a reality. Thank you for the opportunity to be
a successful Principal in Denton ISD and for your time and consideration of my background.

Sincerely,

Tiffany D. Gonzalez
