To whom it may concern,

I am writing to you to express my interest in seeking a job as a first-year teacher in Clear Creek Independent

School District. I am certified to teach EC-6 and am very interested in a job that allows me to work with

Kindergarten-Third grade students. As a former student in this district, I would love the opportunity to make the

same impact that my teachers have made on me over the years.

While obtaining my bachelor degree in Elementary Education from the University of Houston, I had the

opportunity and privilege to not only observe in many elementary schools in the Houston area, but also complete a

yearlong student teaching placement at Pilgrim Academy in Houston ISD. I have great passion for teaching children

and I want to use that passion to improve education to the best of my ability. I truly believe that teachers set the

tone for a child’s education, and I have made it my priority to set a tone that enlightens and encourages young

minds. I’ve had some unique teaching experiences that have exposed me to diversity within education. I have

observed in multiple Title 1 schools and have independently taught a second-grade bilingual transitional class.

Being exposed to diversity within the education field has given me many opportunities to implement

differentiation across every subject area. I am a firm believer that teachers need to strive to meet the needs of

every child, and that can only be accomplished when one takes the time to individualize instruction.

Clear Creek Independent School District’s mission is the reason why I am seeking a job in this specific

district. Children should be given the opportunity to discover their unique talents and interests as they learn. I am

confident that I have what you are looking for in a teaching candidate, therefore, I have included my resume.

Thank you,
Payton Burrows
