1) The population of a town grows at a rate of r (t )  300e0.3t people per year

(where t is time in years). At time t  2 , the town's population is 1200 people.
What is the town's population at t  7 ?

0.5t
2) The temperature of a soup is increasing at a rate of r (t )  30e , degrees
Celsius per minute (where t is the time in minutes). At time t  0 , the
temperature of the soup is 23 degrees Celsius. We are asked to find the
amount by which the temperature increased between t  0 and t  5 ?.
3) The depth of the water in a tank is changing at a rate of r (t )  3ln( x) .
t centimeters per minute (where t is the time in minutes). At time t= 0, the
depth of the water is 35 centimeters. What is the change in the water's depth
during the fourth minute?
𝑟𝑎𝑡𝑒(𝑡) = 3 ln(𝑡)

4) Say a particle moves in a straight line with velocity v(t)=5- t meters per
second, where t is time in seconds. Find the particle's displacement (i.e. the
change in its position) between t=0 seconds and t=10 seconds
5) A cup-like object is made by rotating the area between x 2
and 4 x  3 with around the x-axis. Find the volume of the material needed to
make the cup at hight 4cm.
6) A wine cask has a radius at the top of 40 cm and a radius at the middle of 50
cm. The height of the cask is 1 m. What is the volume of the cask (in L),
assuming that the shape of the sides is parabolic?
7) A watermelon has an ellipsoidal shape with major axis 30 cm and minor axis
25 cm. Find its volume. Use the formula of ellipse.
