Star Jalsha

Star Jalsha is an Indian general entertainment pay television


channel owned by Star India (Disney India).[1] It broadcasts
Star Jalsha
Bengali-language programming, such as family dramas, comedies,
reality shows, crime shows and telefilms. It launched its own HD
feed on 14 April 2016. Star Jalsha is the most watched Bengali
channel across all genres with TRP of 1012 impressions during
week 9 ratings in March 2021.[2]

Star Jalsha was officially launched on 8 September 2008.[3]
Sister Star Gold
In 2011 it was launched on Pehla platform in Middle East.[4] channels Star Movies

In June 2012, it underwent a revamp with a new diamond star Star Sports
logo.[5] On 22 November 2012, the channel was launched in National Geographic
UK.[6] StarPlus
The channel launched its own high-definition feed, along with Star World
Jalsha Movies HD, on 29 April 2016.[7] They were the first Asianet
Bengali-language HD channels in India.[8][7] Star Vijay
In 2018, Sagnik Ghosh became the head of the channel.[9] Star Suvarna

In February 2019, the channel underwent a revamp for the second Star Bharat
