Rotate the "LINE ADJUSTMENI" control until meter pointer lines up with "ADJUST LINE’ indication. Insert tube and ALLOW 70 HEAT. Re-adjust the "LINE ADJUSTMENT CONTROL". Throw each lever individually to "F" position and then back to "NORMAL", (WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE LEVER(S) WHICH ALREADY HAS BEEN THROM TO POSITION "D"? Observe ‘the Neon lamp while each lever 1s thrown to "F" position. If neon lamp glows when lever is thrown to "P" position the tube should be discarded as defective. (a¥ith the exception of lever(s) listed under "FIL. CONT." on the roller chart.) The tube should be lightly tapped during these test: If no short circuits have been indicated, and neon glow has been obtained on the ‘RIL. CONT." lever(s), then throw the levers indicated on the roll chart under "E" and "P" to the nusbered positions indicated. Bach switch is individually numbered fron 1 through to 10. Each mumber represents a tube elenent nunber as listed by Tube Manufacturers and the Radio Manufacturers Association.
