Setting the NT Neck - Order of Operations

1. Clean the pocket, insert the shims, make sure extension shim is
flush at the ledge, heel shim is slightly below the ledge.

2. Hold the body upright, slide the heel into the pocket from the
top toward the back, continue holding the neck in place.

3. Install the top heel bolt, hand-tighten to secure the neck, then
tighten with 7/16" wrench or nut driver.

4. Hold the guitar on its side, insert the extension bolt, fully
tighten with 3/16" Allen wrench.

5. Apply Quick-Grip clamp at the heel block (15th fret).

6. Loosen the top heel bolt, re-tighten the clamp.

7. Re-tighten the top heel bolt.

8. Remove the clamp.

9. Hold the guitar sideways, install and tighten the back heel bolt.

10. Sight the neck to check the angle. If not good, remove the
neck and change the shims.

11. When angle is good, replace the heel sticker.

12. Restring, tune, adjust truss rod as needed, check the action.
