The submission is in the form of a written report that includes a PESTLE analysis and a SWOT
analysis. The report should be written in a concise, formal business style using single spacing
and font size 12. You are required to make use of headings, paragraphs and subsections as
appropriate, and all work must be supported with research and referenced using the Harvard
referencing system. Please also provide a bibliography using the Harvard referencing system.
The recommended word limit is 1,500-2,000 words, although you will not be penalised for
exceeding the total word limit.

With reference to assignment one, you have been employed as a Business Analyst for your
chosen organisation. You have been asked to include the following in your report:

1. Using PESTLE analysis identify and apply the various macro environmental factors that
impact on the business, highlighting the positive and negative impacts.

2. Apply a SWOT/TOWS analysis to your organisation to identify their key strengths and
weaknesses. Explain how the strengths and weaknesses applied interrelate with external
macro factors and are used in the decision-making process.

3. based on above parts, critically evaluate the impact of both macro and micro factors upon
business objectives and decision-making.
