3.0 RESEARCH ON COMPETITORS

3.0.1 UPLIFT DESK

3.0.1.1 Introduction

UPLIFT has been a pioneer in the standing desk campaign for nearly 20 years. Since 2002,
premium goods have been designed in Austin, TX. Production of products from the finest
materials locally and internationally [1]. All items from UPLIFT Desk have been built to
allow an ideal customization bureau at an affordable price of excellent quality. All the desks
feature durable and practical frames that have stunning desktops and colors for everyone.
Add weapons, keyboard trays, drawers, electric sockets, lamps, acoustic privacy screen,
tables, standing mats, motion panels and several more. UPLIET has done its job to ensure
that each accessory works well and is color-coordinated with desks.

UPLIFT have planned and supplied convenient, safe workers since 2002 at UPLIFT
Desk. Since 2002. We wanted to make our own because we could not find a perfect height
adjustable table [2]. On Wirecutter, Forbes and others, the winning named standing desks are
ranked # 1. We also design ergonomic chairs and stools, arms, keyboards, file cabinets,
power/data rails, acoustic/privacy systems, work lighting and many other products for office

3.0.2 SIF DEVELOPMENT SDN BHD

3.0.2.1 Introduction

South Island Furniture is member of SIF Development Sdn Bhd. The company has more than
a decade of experience in producing and marketing furniture. Specializes in the ergonomics
and development of office, hotel and hospitality furniture [SYARIF1]. The company’s target
is to become the head in furniture business, construction projects, decoration products, and
refurbishment of building and shall be the internationally renowned brand of furniture from
Malaysia by manufacturing an affordable furniture at its highest quality. The company has
produced more than 60,000 items of furniture. Malaysia Airlines, The Everly Putrajaya, Tun
Razak Exchange (TRX) and Bank Rakyat are amongst their official client [SYARIF2].

3.0.3 MAILELY

3.0.3.1 Introduction

Mailely is a China wood furniture manufacturer, founded in 2001. They are mainly provided
a solution in household furniture customization. In 2007, a factory was set up in Datian
county, Fujian province producing home hotel office furniture products that runs 5
production lines. In 2010, a special hardcover room furniture custom service factory that runs
3 production lines in Xiamen City, Fujian Province. Mailely expand their services to
international level division, to supply more customers with high quality products and services
more than 80 countries [SYARIF9]. They provide a customizable high-quality and
competitive price of furniture according to customer needs.

3.0.3.4 Characteristics of The Company Product

Writing desk provided by Mailely is suitable for study, bedroom, kitchen and office. It usage
is endless as it can be used as a computer desk, game tables or even picnic tables. It also
waterproof, mold resistance and rigid so it can last longer than other tables. So does their
multipurpose office desk. Small computer desk consist of rigid metal with dark & rustic
brown will definitely bring some aesthetic looking as a charm.
