1A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR

2 ACCREDITATION WITH THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNIT OF

3 ORMOC (LGU), IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS
4 OF ORDINANCE NO. 009 DATED OCTOBER 16, 2014 OF
5 THE LAMAC MULTIPURPOSE COOPERATIVE FOR
6 PURPOSES OF RECOGNITION WITH THE LGU.

7WHEREAS, it can be recalled that this Sanggunian has enacted Ordinance

8No. 009 dated October 16, 2014 entitled: “AN ORDINANCE REGULATING
9THE ACCREDITATION OF CIVIL SOCIETY ORGANIZATIONS (CSOs) IN THE
10CITY OF ORMOC” which governs the procedures for accreditation of
11legitimate organizations in this City;

12WHEREAS, Section 2.1 of the same Ordinance provides among others that
13an organization may still be accredited after the prescribed sixty – day (60)
14period within which applications for accreditation for membership in the
15Local Special Bodies by any organization shall be accepted, for purposes
16other than representation to the Local Special Bodies;

17WHEREAS, this august Body is in receipt of an application for accreditation of

18the aforementioned CSO;

19WHEREAS, LAMAC MPC, duly registered with the Cooperative Development

20Authority on 10 December 2009, is a cooperative which seeks to
21institutionalize a dynamic savings mobilization and capital build-up schemes
22to sustain its developmental activities and long-term investments, thereby
23ensuring optimum economic benefits to the members, their families and the
24general public;

25WHEREAS, this Sanggunian, after thorough review of the aforementioned

26application for accreditation, finds that the same is in order, and the
27purposes of the sought accreditation are all directed to promote socio-
28economic development among its members through the establishment of a
29strong linkage with the City Government in order for each organization to
30have a better access to the diverse programs and projects of the
31government that are beneficial to all sectors of the community;

32WHEREAS, FURTHER, this august Body deems the application to be lawful

33being in accordance with the provisions of Ordinance No. 009 hence, most
34deserving of favorable action by this Sanggunian;

35 NOW THEREFORE, on motion of Sangguniang Panlungsod Member

36Roiland H. Villasencio, Chairman, Committee on Cooperatives and
37Accreditation of Non-Government Organizations, duly seconded by

39RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, to pass A RESOLUTION

40 APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR ACCREDITATION WITH THE
41 LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNIT OF ORMOC (LGU), IN ACCORDANCE
42 WITH THE PROVISIONS OF ORDINANCE NO. 009 DATED
43 OCTOBER 16, 2014 OF THE LAMAC MULTIPURPOSE
44 COOPERATIVE FOR PURPOSES OF RECOGNITION WITH THE
45 LGU.

47 RESOLVED, FURTHER, to furnish copies of this resolution each to the
48 Honorable City Mayor Richard Frank I. Gomez; the City Administrator; the
49 City Legal Officer; the OIC – CLGOO of DILG – Ormoc; the President of
50 the respective civil society organizations seeking for accreditation; and
51 others concerned.
