Technical companies - This includes textile factories, food processing companies like
Purefoods corporation, and other companies that requires technical skills.

Accounting Firms - Accounting is considered as a technical skill but deals with


financial management. In the Philippines, SGV is considered to be one of the best
accounting firms. SGV is a type of mechanistic structure based business.

Government agencies - Organic type structure business only thrives in businesses


which the core is more on creativity like Google. Government agencies like Social
Security System and Philippine National Police requires different skills and agencies

Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs

Safety and Security at Work - Employees must have safety and security if they are to
reach Maslow's final level (self-esteem and self-actualization) and succeed in the
workplace. Employees must also feel that their jobs are secure. If a company lays off
a lot of employees or doesn't communicate with employees about layoffs,
employees may feel frightened of losing their jobs – which would mean no longer
being able to meet their basic needs – and be unmotivated to work.

A Sense of Belonging at Work - If an employee feels alienated from the company, she
may not do her best work. This is doubly important when it comes to
employer/employee relationships. If employees don't feel their bosses value them
or their contributions, they won't want to do their jobs.

Self-Esteem and Self-Actualization at Work - According to Encyclopedia Britannica,


self-actualization refers to an employee's need to feel like he is living up to his
potential in life and is using his creativity and passion. Employees sometimes change
careers if they find their current career can't meet these needs. However, if an
employee is working in the right job for him and all other needs are met, he should
be able to feel like his job satisfies his highest needs.

campus?

Consolanian Culture

La Consolacion University runs in a mechanistic structure. Meaning it has a central


leadership and has leaderboard style system. As a student, we have our own culture
and as an employee is another culture. As a whole, there is a universal Consolanian
culture, whether an teacher or a student.

Being a consolanian is best known for the charity and outreach works. One of the
more benefits of volunteering is the impact on the community. Volunteering allows
you to connect to your community and make it a better place. Even helping out with
the smallest tasks can make a real difference to the lives of people, animals, and
organizations in need.

Being a consolanian is also known for prioritizing faith over other things. The mind
is an incredibly powerful tool. It can be used for good, but also go to waste when
neglected or abused. In times of trouble, we tend to move away from positivity. We
go from a state of abundance to a state of lack. But, faith is the tool that helps
replenish abundance in the heart and the spirit, not just in the mind.

Although LCUP runs in a mechanistic structure it means that is not an admireable


way of running an organization. Organic structure is not suitable to every business,
and like LCUP that runs in a top-down management it perfectly runs well on its own.
LCUP still have culture like other organizations.
