(βCN) Across Indian Native, Exotic and Crossbred Cattle Population”
➢ To sequence characterize and identify different allelic variants of Beta-Casein in Indian native, exotic
and crossbred populations.
➢ To generate corresponding haplotype and estimate extent of linkage disequilibrium across
identified variants of Beta-Casein gene.
➢ To ascertain the expression profile of different Beta-Casein allelic variants in cow mil epithelial
cells.

➢ To delineate Beta-Casein peptide variants corresponding to major allelic variants/haplotype in cow milk
using LC/MS.
