Professional Goal #1
I will establish positive connections, relationships and inclusive learning between the students and I in the grade 1&2
classroom as well as with the staff of the school
Rationale:
It is important to make connections in different opportunities and communities to create rapport. I can get the most out of
this practicum by modeling positive learning and meeting like-minded individuals to learn and grow. Relationships are the
heart of teaching and positive relationships improve learning.
Professional Goal #2
I want to become comfortable lesson planning for my class and teaching the class on my own with engaging material.
Rationale:
I will be leading a few classes my first week back and I want them to go well. I will need to have my lessons planned and resources ready
to go for what I’ll be teaching. I want to include activities such as think pair share and active learning to ensure they are engaged. I am
also going to consult the curr lab to find great books and hands-on materials and ideas.

Practice self-awareness in the school I will be teaching in and adhere to the TQS definitions of professionalism.
Rationale:
It is important to maintain a professional manner in many aspects when entering a new space with the opportunity to teach
and become part of the community
