E-Book
In this project, you will choose to create either an e-book that deals with calculus (from pre –calculus or
basic calculus topics). The following are requirements for this project:

COVERS
1. The front cover must contain the title of your book, the author’s name (you) and an appropriate illustration
of some sort.
2. The back cover must contain your created ISBN number, the price and publisher. (Research the remaining
details).

INTRODUCTORY PAGES
3. The first page should be your title page. It should include the title, author’s name, copyright date, and
publisher.
4. The second page should include any acknowledgements you care to make and a statement concerning what
age and at what grade level you feel it could best be used.

YOUR STORY (INSIDE PAGES)


5. Your e-book must be original and must deal with calculus topics.
6. Each page must be numbered.
Let x = be the number of pages of your e-book
(20<x<40).
7. The text of your story must be typed or neatly printed.
8. There must be at least one illustration on each page or on the page opposite the print.

GENERAL COMMENTS
9. Your project must meet all of the above guidelines and will be evaluated using the attached rubric.
10. Let y = be the number of members per group
(3<y<6).
11. You must submit a pdf file of your e-book with the name of the members in the last page.

SUGGESTIONS & IDEAS:


A. Choose a topic such as conics, sequence and series, binomial theorem and Pascal triangle, mathematical
induction, the unit circle, angle and angle measurement, limits, the differential calculus, implicit
differentiation, the integral calculus, graphs of circular functions, etc.
B. Write your short story or comic book about calculus and its part in everyday life.
C. Write your shorty story or comic book about mathematics in a specific career (s).
Give examples of how they use it, when, why, etc.
