Vision

A progressive province whose empowered and peace loving people live amidst a safer environment,
stable and growing economy anchored on agro-ecological tourism development that is globally
competitive and sustainable under a responsive and accountable governance.

Mission

To realize its vision, the province shall ensure and support, among other things:

Preservation, enrichment and promotion of arts, culture and tourism;

Promotion of health, social services and non-handicapping environment;

Enhancement of the right of the people to a balanced ecology;

Encouragement and support to the development of appropriate and self-reliant, scientific and
technological capabilities;

Enhancement of moral values and public accountabilities;

Enhancement of economic prosperity, food security and social justice;

Promotion of equal employment and livelihood opportunities among the residents;

Enhancement of Disaster Risk Reduction and Management System and increase adaptive capacity
measures to the effects of Global Warming resulting to climate change;

Maintenance of peace and order; and,

Improve the living conditions of the people of Aklan.
