ESS as shown here.

The Need – Short Story
Next he logs in with logon language as ‘English’. His personal data in PA30 and ESS are displayed
as shown below.

Mr. X gets confused because he sees his First and Last name in Hindi with his English logon and
has lost the English text. He notices the same behavior with other Infotypes too.
The user is unable to maintain and view details in more than one language in the Personnel

Solution Approach

New mapping (customizing) table:

A new customizable database table where customers will:

• Map the Infotype fields required in multiple language
• Specify the target language
• Specify the Customer Include (CI) field where the data will be stored
• This table is not used for Storing Master Data but only configurations

How the customers can use this solution (1/2)
Customer will decide which Infotype field(s) they want to open for multiple language support.

Let’s consider an example where a company chooses to open First and Last name fields in Infotype 0002 for Hindi
and Norwegian. They have to follow the below steps:

1. Identify the database table name where Infotype 0002 records are stored

2. Identify the fields in the database table where First and Last name are stored

How the customers can use this solution (2/2)
3. Add new fields to the Customer Include of Infotype 0002 (CI_P0002) which will store text in Hindi, Marathi and
Urdu.

Z_NACHN_HI = Hindi Last name

Z_VORNA_HI = Hindi First name
Z_NACHN_MR = Marathi Last name
Z_VORNA_MR = Marathi First name
Z_NACHN_UR = Urdu Last name
Z_VORNA_UR = Urdu First name

4. Customer will do the mapping in the new customizing table as shown below
