Requirement gathering and analysis methods

Introduction

Education has become very essential because thanks to it today the world has known
a lot of evolution. The education system differs from country to country and is
constantly changing in order to bring improvement in view of the mentality of learners.
Thanks to technology we have a considerable evolution in several sectors of activity.
many companies nowadays use web platforms to better communicate and convey
their messages. Developers are constantly trying to improve web platforms in order to
provide a better experience to users and provide them with what meets their criteria.
Despite this technological advance, some schools and universities are still lagging
behind. These establishments continue to use less interactive platforms in their
schools when they could have better. It is with this in mind that we are doing this study
in order to show them the benefits of using an interactive platform that better responds
to their needs and allows them to be better equipped.
We are carrying out this study because we have observed that in Cote d'Ivoire many
universities are not only not equipped with an online learning platform but also that
those which are equipped do not benefit from these platforms because they are less
interactive and therefore the research objectives are not achieved.
We, therefore, have literary reviews that will help us better understand the problem in
order to provide an adequate solution.
To overcome this problem that we have highlighted, we are going to develop an
interactive online learning platform. This platform will allow schools to be much more
productive. Students will also make less effort and will normally be rewarded with good
grades.
To carry out our project and achieve our objective, we will follow a very coherent
approach which will be to conduct research on the problem in order to get out all the
contours and provide a better solution. We will also conduct research on how we will
develop the platform in question and what components and software will be taken into
account in the development of the platform. All the details will be given in the
development below for further clarification.

Methodology

The research concerns Ivorian universities. Since it is the students who are mainly
affected by the problem, it was, therefore, important to discuss with the students. We
will first interview students who have already studied in the Ivory Coast and who have
gone to Europe, the USA or other countries where the use of technology in education
is already very advanced. We will then interview some African Leadership University
students from Ivory Coast as they could also give us their point of view and the
difference between the two systems and the impact it had on their learning. Finally, we
will interview students still in the current education system, i.e. students who are
currently in Ivory Coast. Primary data sources will be therefore useful to us to achieve
our objectives, and it will be very productive for us because we will have enough
convincing opinions. A survey will be conducted to collect the view of individual
students in Ivory Coast and those elsewhere. Regarding the students of the African
Leadership University, a personal interview will be necessary to gather opinions which
will also help us.

Tools

The method used is not complicated because it will be simpler and more efficient. The
tools that we will use will be a computer and a smartphone with Google chrome
installed to use the google search engine to have a multitude of results. Google Form
will also be the tool that we will use for our forms and Google Sheet to collect our data
to analyse them in an environment better suited for data analysis. We will also use
Google Scholar as a search engine to find relevant information about our research
topic.

Procedures

First, we will collect the data from the students through surveys, interviews and small
group discussions to get the best out of them and have the correct data.

Then, we will analyse these data and interpret them and then draw partial conclusions.

Finally, we will do some research on the web to find cases similar to our topic.

We will therefore analyse all that we have collected as information and use it as a tool
that will allow us to make suitable recommendations and better implement our project
in the education system.

Sources of the research:

The sources of our research will come from research sites such as Google Scholar for
research, surveys, interviews and small groups that we will have formed for this
purpose.

Knowing our audience already, we will collect the data in the week before the last week
of March 2021 through surveys and interviews. After collecting and selecting the data,
we will analyse them in the last week of March 2021.

Data Collection
Google form will be our preferred tool for collecting data. From there, we can analyse
well the date we will get from users.
Google Forms will help us to collect and organize data, whatever the volume. It’s easy
to manage and you can have everything you need to analyse your data and make a
decision on it.
