Teachers Notes
This pack contains resources needed to undertake an Easter Bunny Thinking
Hats Challenge with grade 2 to 6 students.

This resource is beneficial for students because:


• It is fun and engaging as it relates to the real world.
• It uses Debono’s six thinking hats so it requires higher order thinking.

This pack includes:


• 4 blackline masters that are needed to undertake the challenge.
• A possible answers sheet.

Preparation
• Print enough blackline masters for each student/group.

Task Instructions
• Split students into groups if preferred.
• Ask students to complete the Easter Bunny Thinking Hats Challenge using
the blackline masters (providing assistance where required).
How does the Easter Bunny
deliver eggs all over the
world in one night?
As you know, every Easter the Easter Bunny travels
around the world in just one night delivering Easter Eggs to
children. BUT what no one talks about is exactly HOW the Easter
Bunny manages to do this.

Your job is to put on each of the six thinking hats and come up
with your own explanation.

First, put on the white hat! Think about what we know about
the the Easter Bunnies trip around the world delivering Easter
Eggs.

How does time and distance make it difficult for the Easter Bunny to deliver
eggs all over the world in one night? There is such a short amount of time in
which the Easter Bunny has to travel an incredibly long distance.
How does using baskets to carry eggs make it more difficult for the Easter
Bunny to deliver eggs all of the world quickly? The eggs may fall out. The Easter
Bunny would have to carry a lot of baskets.
How does physical fitness or the fact that the Easter Bunny works alone make
it difficult for eggs to be delivered in one night? It would be so hard to exercise
for an entire day. It may not be possible for one bunny to make it around the
world in one night.
Green Hat Thinking
How does the Easter bunny use its strengths and overcome its weaknesses to
deliver Easter Eggs to everyone on Easter eve? Think outside the box… Are
there special powers? Special helpers? Special technologies? Or things that
cannot be seen by the human eye? Since the Easter Bunny is so friendly, she
shares her job with many other bunnies. There is one bunny for every 100 kids
that need eggs delivered. This way she doesn’t get too tired.
How does the Easter Bunny keep this a secret? The bunnies can ONLY work
when children are asleep so that they are never seen.
