For freedom you fought, your life you’ve sacrificed.
For years you’ve suffered, your freedom was taken.
The days you’ve spent in exile, was never a waste of time.
The changes you made, will forever be engraved.

Just like how the tree witnessed your love.

I too have known your sufferings.
Your sacrifices that set us free, is priceless as it should be.
You are not just a piece of history, but part of our lives you shall be.

You found a woman whom you call worthy of your love.

Till then you found another reason to keep your principle.
Till then you continued fighting in your silent ways with her by your side.
But life is cruel, life is unfair.
You lost your precious and now you’re in pain.

Engraved in my heart, you forever will be.

The blood that was shed, was the blood that set us free.
The books that were written, were the books that made us see.
Just like the water from a river, untouched by the wind.
You were the calm amidst chaos engraved in my heart, you forever will be.
