HW 1
Name of the student: Sanin Selimović
Emina: Prošle sedmice sam bila u Sarajevu. Padala je kiša, te nisam mogla mnogo šetati. Većinu vremena sam
provela u tržnom centru. U centru sam i doručkovala. Obišla sam mnogo radnji, ali sam samo kupila sebi jaknu, a
mami sam kupila rokovnik u kojeg upravo gledamo. Nije li divan?
Lana: Pa zar i tvoja mama voli rokovnike kao i ti?
Emina: O, kako da ne. Svaki dan piše svoje omiljene citate u rokovnik. Do sada je kupila veoma mnogo rokovnika i svi
su iskorišteni. Ona ih čuva i slaže na policu. Ima cijelu kolekciju rokovnika.
Lana: A gdje ti je jakna? Zašto mi je ne pokažeš?
Emina: Pa upravo ju je mama oprala. Ja operem sve nove stvari prije nego ih obučem.
Lana: Stvarno bih voljela znati kako izgleda ta jakna!
Emina: Pa imam sliku jakne. Evo pogledaj.
Lana: Pa zaista je divna!
Emina: Hvala ti mnogo. Volim da kupujem neobične stvari. Uživam u odjeći. Svaki put kada odem negdje, kupim sebi
nešto za uspomenu.
Lana: Je li i jakna za uspomenu?
Emina: Pa jeste.
Lana: Pa skupa ti je ta uspomena.
Emina: Uspomene nemaju cijenu.
Translation:
Emina: Last week I was in Sarajevo. It was raining, so I wasn't able to walk much. I spent most of my time in a mall. I
also had lunch in the mall. I visited many stores, but I only bought myself a jacket, and I bought my mom a journal
which we are looking at at this exact moment. Isn't it wonderful?
Lana: So does your mom like journals like you do?
Emina : Oh, how could she not? Every day she writes her favorite quotes in the journal. By now, she bought many
journals, and all of them are used. She saves them and keeps them on a shelf. She has a whole collection of journals.
Lana: And where is your jacket? Why don't you show it to me?
Emina: Mom had just washed it. I wash all the new stuff before wearing them.
Lana: I would love to know how the jacket looks!
Emina: Well, I have a picture of the jacket. Here look.
Lana: It's wonderful!
Emina: Thank you very much. I love to buy unusual things. I enjoy the clothes. Every time I go somewhere, I buy
myself something for memory.
Lana: Is the jacket a memory also?
Emina: It is.
Lana: Well, your memory is kind of expensive.
Emina: Memories don't have a price.
