INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION INVENTOR/INVENTION ASSIGNMENT

Due: Monday April 12th 2021

Instructions:
Research and create slideshow using google slides about an an important inventor and their
invention during the industrial revolution. I have provided a list of inventors for you to choose
from.
The slides should include:

- A cover slide with a Title and Photo

- Who the inventor was? (Should include when they were born and where they were from)

- The invention (What does it do/ how does it work?). Also include when it was invented.

- The reason for this invention (This could include previous inventions that inspired this

invention and/or it could include a problem that the invention was meant to solve)

- Why was this invention important? How did it change society and the way people lived

at this time?

- Do we see traces of this invention in our society today? Is it still being used today?

- An interesting fact about this invention and/or inventor.

- A bibliography (A list of sources)

It is suggested that there should be at least 8 slides (one slide for each of these points). Each
slide should have at least one photo that is related to the content of the slide. The slides should
also include speaker notes to fill in the gaps in the slideshow.

Plagiarism:
Using a sentence, paragraph or whole piece of work of someone else is considered plagiarism.
Any case of plagiarism will result in the student having to redo the assignment with a maximum
grade of 60%. A second case of plagiarism will result in a grade of 0.
