Duqm Special Economic Zone Authority (SEZAD) was established by Royal Decree No.
(119/2011) in 2011 to:
- Manage, regulate, and develop all economic activities in Duqm.
- Plan, design, and implements long-term strategies for infrastructural development.
- Attract investments to promote a wide spectrum of economic activities.
- Oversee the urban expansion of the modern Duqm city while protecting the
environment, thereby ensuring Duqm its rightful place as the best location to visit, live,
work, and invest in the Middle East. 3

Duqm is appx. (550 km) from

Muscat (the capital) and almost
same distance from Salalah.
