Bushology

For Alto Sax and Tape

This piece is based on the approval and disapproval rating of President Bush (ABC News 28-29 Oct. 2005). The sax motives are either derived from the
spectromorphological analysis of his voice, from Persian scales, from Jazz elements, or are totally improvised based on the rhythm of the tape part, with an
augmented 4th interval prominence. The form of the piece (A section) is derived out of the fibonacci series.The audio part is based on his public speeches
(dated back from 2001 to 2005). The middle (B section) is again based on his speeches, but the audio samples are streached creating a liturgical atmosphere.
If you put the snippets of sounds together, it creates the phrases "New World Order" and "Bohemian Grove". Bohemian Grove is a campground in California
(and not only!), where the elite men of the World are gathering once a year.
