Decision Bug

Description of Concept

Decision Bug is very simply a tool that gives users the ability to ask a community for input
during a decision-making process. That community can consist of either the user’s personal
network or a public forum of all registered users. Said another way, our users can access
the preferences of any group whose input they believe may be helpful in making a specific
decision.
The following briefly describes how DB can be deployed on both personal and public
networks:

[Netsmartz 16th Feb 11]: please explain in details the term “Personal Networks” and “Public
Networks”. Are you using the “Personal Networks” for mobile App and “Public Networks” for
a website? Please explain

A. Personal Networks

i. Users can poll their personal networks directly (or some subset of them) on
any decision they may be contemplating and ask people to choose amongst
several pre-determined answer choices.

The question set-up will be very simple and include only the open question
and possible answer choices, each of which can be supported with a quick
description, pictures or links to external sites.
[Netsmartz 16th Feb 11]:
1. Do client have a website or it will be developed by Netsmartz?
2. Do client have any reference app?
3. We are setting up the question from the website or through the App?
4. Do we need any registration or login from the App?
5. Please explain the flow of the mobile App and website in detail.

ii. Once the question is received, respondents select their answer choice,
leave a comment if they choose to and click a submit button. The question
will be live for a set period of time established by the questioner and results
will tally under each answer option. Individual responses will only be known to
the questioner if the respondent chooses to comment. If respondents simply
vote, their answers will tally but will not be identified with them personally.

iii. [OPEN] Integration options with social networks:

 Application used within Facebook?
[Netsmartz 16th Feb 11]: This for the website or for the mobile App?
You want to share question on FaceBook? Please explain this in detail.

 Application accesses connections from Facebook but use is restricted

to DB site?
[Netsmartz 16th Feb 11]: Not getting. please explain this in detail.

 Can users ask questions in status updates, direct messages or both?

[Netsmartz 16th Feb 11]: Not getting. Please differentiate the scope for
website and for mobile app means which features you want for mobile
app and which for web.

B. Public Networks

i. Same process as above, except users can ask their question publicly on the
DB application. One additional step during the question set-up will require the
user to select a category for the question from a drop-down list (i.e.
automotive, fashion, eduction). The question will then be available to be
answered by any registered user of DB.

ii. Users will sign-up for categories of interest to them during initial
registration or at anytime by updating their preferences. DB will send users a
weekly email digest if new questions have been posed in their selected
categories.

Each user will have an account with DB, where all previous questions asked
and corresponding answer metrics will be stored for their view at any time.
These user profile pages can be made public at the user’s option.
