Career goals
A career goal is where you provide details of
the profession that you intend to pursue in
life.

This is more of a dream than a goal. Because

it covers what career achievements you will
meet throughout your life.

It still depends on where you are right now

and what level of education you need for
you to complete your goals. Not forgetting
the experience level needed to get there. As
you go up the ladder you need to know
whether you need career changes to get a
certain skill or experience?
These are the type of questions you will
need to answer during your planning.

You may be thinking that career goals have

to do with the job position you desire to
have. But the word goal here is asking for
the actions you are taking to get you there.
Set that desired position as your dream
position. So the question is which steps
should you take to get there?

There are two things you need to aim at.

These would be the two goals you need to
get to your dream.

Experience
Education

These two will make you an expert in the

field.

So from there write down what you should

do to reach these two.
Education

Diploma
Degree
Masters
PHD
Experience
Internship

Switching of jobs to tag a wider experience

Winning awards in your industry to show

competency

Aiming to win one prestigious award in your

industry to show you’re the most competent
Financial goals

Financial goals are the steps you set to

determine how you will spend money and
save money. Categorize these as short-term,
mid-term and long-term goals.

If financial goals are missing in your

planning then know for sure that you’re
overspending money.

Let’s divide them into four categories.

Budgeting
Make a budget and swear by it

and writing down the steps needed to
achieve one level of education. It could be a
diploma, a degree but just one.

So in this regard find below two categories.

Desired end refers to the dream and the
other refers to the details needed to achieve
each of them. They are more of habits to
master.

between you and your spouse. Find out what
both of you can share and enjoy. Then do
more of those. But plan them so that you
leave the guesswork out.

As you do this you will discover there are

new things that emerge that were not in
your planning. So provide in your planning
how to incorporate those too.

Having said this find below the two sections.
