A .HOW IS SCIENCE USED IN TECHNOLOGY?

In this modern generation, the age of technological advancement and

technology, Science is used in Technology by determining the various
ways on how to innovate and engineer new technological innovations.
Furthermore, it is truly a fact that science encompasses different fields
whether it is in mathematics or in this case technology itself. The concept of
science serves as a torch and a radiant of light which guides as to new
technological possibilities that can be of help to mankind. In relation to that
statement, because science is labeled as a systematic enterprise that
builds and organizes knowledge in the form of testable explanations and
predictions about the universe. The relationship of Science and Technology
can be pictured as YINYANG. Since, it is widely known that for a
technology to be discovered, cultivate or immerge it needs to answer the
rules of science. In order for it to undergo reality the principles and
guideline of science must be followed at all cost. To shed more light,
science is often used in technology because science conveys the
systematic study of the structure of the physical and natural world while
technology is the producer and can be sometimes called as the application
of it.
b. THE ROLE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY

The role of Science and Technology is really essential in our daily

living. When it comes to our day to day chores and activities, science and
technology plays a drastic role to it. To further elaborate the given context,
Science and Technology enables more efficient strategies that answers
ground breaking questions that are not known to mankind before
technology and advancement evolved in our society. The role of Science
and Technology is really not something we should take lightly, because
these two are the pillars of our success and civilization as a human in this
planet.

Science and Technology allowed us and opened doors in various

field of study and discipline whether if it is about to finding ways into
engineering design or industrial practices, medicine or healthcare and even
just by incorporating simple innovations into our day to day life. Without the
presence of Science and Technology we would still be living the primitive
way and not be cultured and civilized. Science and Technology can be
considered as the pursuit of knowledge which is vital to our life. With these
two pillars it manifests products that solve modern or day to day problems
and improve our life.

c. WHAT DOES SCIENCE TECHNOLOGY AND SOCIETY MEAN?

Science Technology and Society is considered and labeled as the

field of study wherein the concept. The ideas and principles of science and
technology are applied to society. In connection to that given statement,
Science Technology and Society, is an understanding or a field of interest
that the rules of science and the fundamental philosophy of technology are
applied so that in can answer modern social problems that needs scientific
solution. Although Science Technology and Society (STS), is considered as
a learning approach to improve student’s learning in the context of social
ethics and how to apply science and technology in them. It is without a
doubt that its main purpose it to study the impact of scientific change
through technology on society. To further shed light, Science, Technology
and Society is tagged as a field of study which involves the effectiveness
and the utilization of scientific knowledge and technological systems occur;
the repercussion of these activities which are implicated in different groups
of people or society.

d. SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY STUDIES

Although, science and technology has a strong relationship with one

another, it is also very vital to know and understand what science and
technology studies are. Science and Technology studies is a field of which
involved the domains of interest or study of how society works, politics, and
the concept of culture affect scientific innovations and technological
advancement , and how these altered and shaped the society we have
today. Furthermore, Science and Technology studies also advocate these
programs that are introduced and scoped into the undergraduates to be
devoted to exploring the issues raised by science and technology.
Principles and discipline of technology and science gives students a
greater view and a wide range of insight to understand how different
processes of information and knowledge are depicted and introduced, and
how innovative technological processes are created, manufactured and
increase in importance. The fact that it can also gives new fundamental
discoveries into digesting information and knowledge of technology,
science and knowledge from a vantage point of mankind.

Throughout the journey of this study people will to come to

understand and manifest in their minds the essential amendments or rules
of social and cultural inspection or research of advance science and
technology in the modern era which integrates engagement in social,
political, or any progress that science answers.

e. HOW SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY AFFECT SOCIETY.

Science and Technology affects the society for greater things and for
greater purpose. One of which is that, our daily means of living where
changed drastically by the study and principles of Science which are further
made possible through the application of technology. These two go hand in
hand together for a reason that the society we have today are build on the
rules of science made possible by technological advancement thanks to
technology. To further validate the statement, science and technology are
just one the important ways on how to change our society. Before the
modern era, we are considered as primitives and because of the foundation
and information that are laid down by science at the same time
incorporating technology in it. It somehow changed the spectral of our
world. We are suddenly shifted and educated the world answers to the call
of science. Not only can science significantly affect society but with the help
of technology it can take us to greater heights. This is due to the fact that it
bridges the gap between theory and application to reality.
f. HOW SCIENCE CAN HAVE AN EFFECT ON SOCIETY?

Science can affect society primarily on the reason that science

answers the mind boggling questions brought by mankind or so called
ancestors. Science has given us sustainable knowledge and information
through various fields whether it is in ethics, aesthetics, education, and
justice; to create cultures; and to improve human conditions. Through the
guiding principles of science we can create new possibilities and explore
and dig down information that we are alienated before.

The effects of science manifests to us drastically because in a snap,

our primitive lives have been change. With regards to that, I could simply
reiterate that, science can have an enormous amount of effect in society as
it offers a universal truth or an objective representation of the world.
Furthermore, the scientific perception and its principles brought by world
class scientists dominated the way humans/mankind in society think about
themselves as well as the environment they reside.

g. WHAT IS THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN SCIENCE AND SOCIETY?

As stated from the great scientists that have come before us, the
relationship between science and society is as important as food and
water. Science altered the course of society in a blink of an eye. The
innovations/understanding brought by science affected our society in a
number of ways, such as our daily living, means of transportation and for
this current generation our socialization and means of living. This is also
for a fact that, science answers almost everything in our life, it responds to
societal needs and global challenges. As complex as it seems, the
philosophy and understanding of Science is the greatest narrative
endeavor and journey one dive into. It has a distinctive role, and a variety
of usage and usability for the common good of our society. Exploring and
creating new technological advancement, improving education, and
increasing the quality of our lives.

It is globally known that the significant trend in the science-society

relationship is to draw and attract the minds of mankind, that the use and
information which are then conveyed and transpired by science is crucial
and essential to our life as a human being for a fact that many chapters of
our 21st century life are greatly influenced by scientific knowledge. So in
that sense, it is really safe to say, that the society that we current live and
today’s generation is really dependent to science or scientific knowledge.
To support that verdict, the relationship of science and society go hand in
hand together because science explains facts, it has features which does
not restrict the concept to explicit information or facts at a random order.
Instead it creates a systematic order of facts and formulates up theories to
provide scientific explanation to humans. During the undertaking it
formulates theories on the basis of observation. With that statement, it
really explains the relationship of the two because our society can depend
and will depend on science because it does not withdraw, reduce or even
bewilder knowledge and information which is really vital to human race.
