Discrimination, Structural violence and Dejection of
democracy caused by few people who pretend to be
major media emissary in the society. Requisition

Sir, me named Mr. Chintha Bala Swamy, S/o., C. Muttaiah, R/o., Amberpet, Hyderabad. Hereby
bring before you the heart throbbing anguish because of uncompassionate conduct, ethical
errors and atrociousness towards me and my community caused by four persons of Gemini
News named;
1) Mr. Patri Vasudevan, (Input Editor)*
2) Mr. Sri Sai, (Principal Editor)*
3) Mr. Shyam (Reporter)* and
4) Mr. P. Kiran (Managing Director)

A brief narration of the case and its elucidation;

I belong to Schedule Caste community and is from a very poor background, I have tried my
hardest for education and is braking my back to balance myself and my family from financial
fuss. I have served Gemini TV as a Camera Man for three years with decorum and respect and
delivered all my duties with undotted services to my organization. Nevertheless, from a span of
two months I have been under duress and molestation because of persons named Vasudevan,
Sai and Shyam. These people being senior management and major media emissary in our
prestigious organization they ever comport themselves with atrocious behaviour towards the
lower level management.

Coming to the point, from past two months as Telengana movement and its historical transition is
on its peak, as a responsible journalist I have been gathering News with highest sense of duty.
Wherefore, on 22.09.2011 by 09:00 pm, the above three persons intentionally intimidated and
humiliated me openly within public view by abusing me with “unparliamentary language” in the
name of “my caste and my class.” Nevertheless, they mocked me by saying “How Telengana
State ever materializes if alone Madiga fellow covers the ongoing Telengana Movement.” They
had beaten me for covering Telengana agitation as they hail from Andhra region and
deliberately mortified for the reason that they are from higher caste masses.

I took this matter to Gemini News Managing Director, Mr. P. Kiran on 25.09.2011by 10:00 am. I
have explained to him very elaborately about the outrageous behavior of these 3 persons on
me from 2 two months period and about abrupt attack which happened on 22.09.2011.
Nevertheless, despite the fact that he did not take any action on the accused, mercilessly he
removed me from the services and strictly ordered the security personnel not to allow me in the
office premises.

As I sensed that injustice has been done towards me, I without any delay approached the
Banjara Hills Police Station on 26.09.2011and and lodged a complaint on the three accused.

Even the Police did not take any action and delayed to register the FIR, on my several
compliance and grievances they registered the case in Cr No. 979/11 U/s 3(i) (X) 0f SC & ST
(POA) Act, after 23 days of my written complaint and the case file has been submitted to ACP,
Banjara Hills and is still under investigation.

A cry for Justice

Sir, in this Independent India, even after sixty four years, India is plagued by widespread
discrimination against the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. Despite the Constitutional
guarantees seeking to protect and promote the interest of these groups, atrocities against them
continue to be on the rise, due to various historical, social, political and economic reasons.

Wherefore, in this pride India even on this day an underprivileged Dalit is facing Atrocity,
Discrimination and Structural Violence in addition with Intentional intimidates and humiliation,
these still existing because of some iniquitous people in this society.

“Please for the sake of humankind and respectability do justice to me and my community.” I
humbly appeal to you to take substantial and officially permitted action and punish the
accused and their supporters with literal law.

In anticipation for an affirmative action from your side.
