1. What is the importance of crime mapping in the field of Law Enforcement?

- It is very important tool. Ever since maps have been available that depict the
geographic features of communities, such as streets and city boundaries, police
departments have used such maps to determine patrol areas and emergency routes as
well as to assist patrol officers in finding specific addresses.

2. Provide some advantages crime mapping in terms of crime prevention and


crime solution.

- It can visualize, and analyze crime incident patterns and tool in managing and


controlling crime in an area by analyzing the spatial and temporal data provided
by maps investigator are able to understand the crime patterns and it also help in
resource allocation and in geographic profiling of criminals and wary whereabouts.

3. What are Law enforcement procedures? What are their use or applications

- Field procedures intended to be used in all situations of all kinds, shall be outlined
as a guide to officers and men in the field. Procedures that relate to reporting, to
dispatching, to raids, stopping suspicious persons, receiving complaint, touring beat,
and investigation of crimes

- Headquarters procedures these are the duties of dispatcher, jailer, matron and
other personnel, concerned which may be reflected in the duty manual. Procedures
that involved coordinated action on activity of several offices; however shall be
established separately as in the cases of using telephone for local/long distance calls,
the radio teletype, and other similar devices.

- Special Operation procedures certain special operations also necessitate the


preparation of procedures as guides. Included are the operation of the special unit
charged with the searching and preservation of physical evidence at the crime scenes
and accidents, the control o licenses, dissemination of information about wanted
persons, inspection of the PNP headquarters, and the like.

4. Why planning is so important in police operational?

- Police administrators in trying to allocate anticipated resources to meet anticipated


service demands. It is the systematic and orderly determination of facts and events as
basis for policy formulation and decision affecting law enforcement management. To
increase the chances of success by focusing on results. To force analytical thinking
and evaluation of alternatives for better decisions. To establish a framework for
decision making consistent with the goal of the organization

5. What is more important? To be a good leader or to be a good follower?

- For me is to be a good follower. Effective followers don’t just get things done. They
keep leaders on their toes and bring out their very best. They hold their leaders
accountable to set a strong vision and define palpable objectives that are achievable.
Effective followers are also critical thinkers, but with a positive attitude. They keep
their leaders honest and are self-motivated to take action, active participants toward a
communal goal but never blindly willing to accept the actions of a leader until they’ve
evaluated that leader thoroughly. In many ways, great followers can achieve without a
leader at all. But you can easily see how important followers are to leadership

6. How planning, procedure, goal be used in your personal life?

- By creating goals, you create a long term vision. You give yourself a sense purpose
and you provide yourself with a focus. It is a process of what you want to accomplish
and creating a plan you want to achieved. By setting a goal you create a ripple effect.
The process of setting goals give you a purpose and direction in life by allowing you to
choose where you want to go in life.
