Merry Christmas, goodbye…

SCROOGE:
Lord bless my eyes if it isn’t Dick. My best friend Dick Wilkins!

DICK:
Ebenezer, hurry or I’ll be late.

PAST:
He cannot hear you. These are only shadows of the past. They are not real. They
cannot notice us.

DICK:
Ebenezer, hurry.

YOUNG SCROOGE:
Dick, I had to see the schoolmaster.

DICK:
I have to say goodbye or I’ll miss the coach. I wish you could come to my house
for Christmas.

YOUNG SCROOGE:
Don’t worry about me- you have a fine holiday and do write.

DICK:
Of course I will. Take care Benny. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I’ll
miss you. (Dick exits)
