‫رﺳﺎﻟﺔ ﻣﻦ اﻷرض‬
Arabic Group 2

The land addresses its inhabitants to protect it and stop its harmful emissions, hiding on
it, which will inevitably destroy it soon if the inhabitants of the earth continue this
behavior. I write a letter from the land to its inhabitants impulsing them about the harm
they inflict on it.

‫ﻣﻦ اﻟﺼﻌﺐ اﻟﻬﺮوب ﻣﻦ ﺗﻠﻮث اﻟﻬﻮاء ‪ ،‬ﺑﻐﺾ اﻟﻨﻈﺮ ﻋﻦ‬

‫ﻣﺪى ﺗﻘﺪم اﻟﻤﻜﺎن اﻟﺬي ﺗﻌﻴﺶ ﻓﻴﻪ‪ .‬وﻟﻬﺬا اﻟﺴﺒﺐ أﻛﺘﺐ‬
‫ﻫﺬه اﻟﺮﺳﺎﻟﺔ إﻟﻴﻜﻢ ‪ ،‬وﻟﻜﻞ ﻓﺮد ﻣﻦ ﺳﻜﺎن اﻷرض ‪،‬‬
‫ﻟﻠﺘﻌﺎﻣﻞ ﺑﺠﺪﻳﺔ ﻣﻊ اﻟﻤﺸﻜﻼت اﻟﻤﺘﻌﻠﻘﺔ ﺑﻬﺬا اﻷﻣﺮ‪ .‬اﻟﻬﻮاء‬
‫ﻫﻮ أﺣﺪ اﻟﺠﻮاﻧﺐ اﻷﺳﺎﺳﻴﺔ ﻟﻠﺤﻴﺎة ﻫﻨﺎ ﻋﲆ ﻛﻮﻛﺒﻨﺎ‪ .‬إذا‬
‫واﺻﻠﻨﺎ اﻧﺒﻌﺎﺛﺎت اﻟﻤﻠﻮﺛﺎت ﻓﻲ اﻟﻬﻮاء ‪ ،‬ﻓﺴﻮف ﻳﻨﺘﺞ ﻋﻦ‬
‫ذﻟﻚ ﺗﻐﻴﺮات ﻓﻲ اﻟﻤﻨﺎخ‪ .‬ﺳﻴﻌﺎﻧﻲ اﻟﺴﻜﺎن ﻣﻦ أﻣﺮاض‬
‫ﺻﺤﻴﺔ ﻃﻮﻳﻠﺔ اﻷﻣﺪ ‪ ،‬إذا ﻟﻢ ﻳﺘﻢ إﻳﻘﺎﻓﻬﺎ‪ .‬ﻫﺬا ﻫﻮ اﻟﺴﺒﺐ‬
‫ﺟﻤﻴﻌﺎ ﻋﲆ ﻣﻨﻊ اﻻﻧﺒﻌﺎﺛﺎت اﻟﻀﺎرة ﺑﺠﻤﻴﻊ‬
‫ً‬ ‫ﻓﻲ أﻧﻨﻲ أﺣﺜﻜﻢ‬
‫أﺷﻜﺎﻟﻬﺎ اﻟﻀﺎرة واﻟﺘﻲ ﺗﻨﺘﻘﻞ إﱃ اﻟﻬﻮاء‪ .‬ﺗﻮﺧﻲ اﻟﺤﺬر‬ ‫‪Pollution‬‬

Translation
Air pollution is hard to escape from, no matter how
progressive the place you are living in. That’s why I am writing
this letter to you, every one of earth’s inhabitants, to seriously
address the problems related to this. Air is one of the essential
aspects of life here on our planet. If we continue the emissions
of pollutants into the air, it will result in changes in the climate.
Inhabitants will experience long-term health diseases, if it will
not be stopped. That is the reason why I urge all of you to
prevent harmful emissions of all forms that are damaging and
being transmitted into the air. To be mindful and vigilant to
reduce the use of harmful chemicals and of burning of fossil
fuels that releases gases into the atmosphere.
 ‫اﻟﻤﺎء ﻫﻮ أﻳﻀﺎ ﻋﻨﺼﺮ ﺣﻴﻮي ﻓﻲ اﻟﺤﻴﺎة‪ .‬ﻧﻈ ًﺮا ﻷن ارﺗﻔﺎع ﻣﺴﺘﻮى ﺳﻄﺢ اﻟﺒﺤﺮ ﻳﺪﻓﻊ اﻟﻤﻴﺎه‬
‫اﻟﻤﺎﻟﺤﺔ إﱃ ﻃﺒﻘﺎت اﻟﻤﻴﺎه اﻟﺠﻮﻓﻴﺔ اﻟﻌﺬﺑﺔ ‪ ،‬ﻓﺈﻧﻪ ﻳﺠﻌﻞ اﻟﻤﻴﺎه ﻏﻴﺮ ﺻﺎﻟﺤﺔ ﻟﻠﺸﺮب أو ﻟﻠﺮي‬
‫ﻣﺎ ﻟﻢ ﻳﺘﻢ ﻣﻌﺎﻟﺠﺘﻬﺎ ﺑﺎﺳﺘﺨﺪام ﻋﻤﻠﻴﺔ ﻛﺜﻴﻔﺔ اﻻﺳﺘﻬﻼك ﻟﻠﻄﺎﻗﺔ‪ .‬ﻟﻴﺲ ذﻟﻚ ﻓﺤﺴﺐ ‪ ،‬ﺑﻞ إن‬
‫ارﺗﻔﺎع ﻣﻌﺪﻻت ﻫﻄﻮل اﻷﻣﻄﺎر اﻟﻨﺎﺟﻤﺔ ﻋﻦ ﺗﻐﻴﺮ اﻟﻤﻨﺎخ ﻳﻤﻜﻦ أن ﻳﻄﻐﻰ ﻋﲆ اﻟﺒﻨﻴﺔ اﻟﺘﺤﺘﻴﺔ‬
‫اﻟﻬﺎﻣﺔ وﻳﺪﻣﺮﻫﺎ ﻣﺜﻞ أﻧﻈﻤﺔ اﻟﺼﺮف اﻟﺼﺤﻲ وﻣﺤﻄﺎت ﻣﻌﺎﻟﺠﺔ اﻟﻤﻴﺎه‪ .‬ﻗﺪ ﻳﺆدي ذﻟﻚ إﱃ‬
‫ﺗﻠﻮث اﻟﻤﻴﺎه ‪ ،‬ﻣﻤﺎ ﻳﺠﻌﻠﻬﺎ ﺑﻨﻴﺔ أو ﻏﺎﺋﻤﺔ ﻷن أﺷﻜﺎل ﺗﻠﻮث اﻟﻤﻴﺎه ﺗﺨﻠﻖ ﺗﻬﺪﻳﺪات ﺑﻴﺌﻴﺔ‬
‫ﺷﺪﻳﺪة‪ .‬ﻟﺬﻟﻚ ﻣﻦ واﺟﺒﻨﺎ أن ﻧﻮﺟﻪ دﻋﻮة ﻟﻼﺳﺘﻴﻘﺎظ ﻟﻠﺠﻤﻴﻊ ﻟﻠﻤﺴﺎﻋﺪة ﻓﻲ وﻗﻒ ﺟﻤﻴﻊ‬
‫أﺷﻜﺎل ﺗﻠﻮث اﻟﻤﻴﺎه أو اﻟﻤﻮاد اﻟﻜﻴﻤﻴﺎﺋﻴﺔ اﻟﺴﺎﻣﺔ اﻟﺘﻲ ﻳﺼﻨﻌﻬﺎ اﻹﻧﺴﺎن وﻣﻨﺘﺠﺎﺗﻬﺎ اﻟﺜﺎﻧﻮﻳﺔ‬
‫ﻣﻦ اﻟﺘﺮاﻛﻢ‪ .‬ﻻ ﻳﺆﺛﺮ ﺗﻠﻮث اﻟﻤﻴﺎه ﻋﲆ اﻟﻤﺎء ﻓﺤﺴﺐ ‪ ،‬ﺑﻞ ﻳﺆﺛﺮ ﻋﲆ اﻟﻬﻮاء ً‬
‫أﻳﻀﺎ‪ .‬ﻗﺮﻳ ًﺒﺎ ‪،‬‬
‫ﺳﺘﺘﻠﻮث ﺟﻤﻴﻊ ﻣﺼﺎدر اﻟﻬﻮاء واﻟﻤﺎء إذا ﻟﻢ ﻳﻔﻌﻞ ﺳﻜﺎﻧﻬﺎ ﺷﻴ ًﺌﺎ ﻟﻤﻨﻊ ﺣﺪوث ذﻟﻚ‪ .‬ﻋﻨﺪﻣﺎ‬
‫ﻳﺤﺪث ﻫﺬا ‪ ،‬ﻣﺎذا ﺳﻴﺤﺪث ﻟﺠﻴﻞ اﻟﻤﺴﺘﻘﺒﻞ؟‬
 Translation
Water is also a vital element of life. As rise in sea levels pushes saltwater into
freshwater aquifers, it makes the water unusable for drinking or irrigation
unless it is treated using an energy-intensive process. Not only that, but high
levels of rainfall brought about by climate change could overwhelm and
damage important infrastructures like sewer systems and water treatment
plants. This may lead to polluted water, causing it to become brown or cloudy
as forms of water pollution create severe environmental threats. It is
therefore our obligation to give everyone a wake-up call to help stop all forms
of water pollution or man-made toxic chemicals and its by-products from
accumulating. Water contamination affects not only water, but air as well.
Soon, all sources of air and water will be polluted if its inhabitants don’t do
something to prevent it from happening. When this happens, what will happen
to the future generation?

Now, I ask you this. Why do you let plastic
suffocate the land? Why do you leave your
trash for the Earth to keep? Why do you
pollute this land which provides for you?
Every year, 154 million pounds of plastic is
incinerated, releasing toxins into the air,
speeding up and intensifying the effects of
climate change.

takes care of you. The land is for you to till

Introduction
The forests by which millions of plants and animals find their home in. The
forests which provide you with lumber to build your houses. Why do you
ravage it? Every second, a forest the size of a football field is lost. Every day,
Forests 2.47 million trees are cut down. Every year, 900 million trees are lost to
human activity. Humans must accept their responsibility to plant the trees
Earth that they cut down — to return what they have taken. The Earth is your
home, why do you leave it to burn? The fires that engulf the forests because
of human greed shorten the life of this world that you live in.
 ‫إﱃ ﺳﺎﻛﻨﻲ اﻷﻋﺰاء‪،‬‬

‫ﻟﻤﺎذا ﻻ ﺗﻬﺘﻢ ﺑﺤﻴﺎة اﻵﺧﺮﻳﻦ؟ أول ﻣﻦ ﺗﻄﺄ ﻗﺪﻣﻪ اﻟﻄﺒﻴﻌﺔ ﺳﻮف ﻳﻨﻘﺮض ﻣﻊ ﻣﺮور اﻟﻮﻗﺖ‪.‬‬
‫أﻳﻀﺎ إﱃ ﻣﻮاردك ﻟﻠﺤﻔﺎظ ﻋﲆ ﺣﻴﺎﺗﻬﻢ ‪ ،‬وﻳﺸﻌﺮ‬ ‫ﻫﻨﺎك ‪ 7.7‬ﻣﻠﻴﺎر ﺷﺨﺺ آﺧﺮ ﻳﺤﺘﺎﺟﻮن ً‬
‫أﺣﻴﺎﻧًﺎ أﻧﻪ ﻻ أﺣﺪ ﻳﻔﻌﻞ أي ﺷﻲء ﻟﻠﻤﺴﺎﻋﺪة‪ .‬ﻳﺪﻋﻢ ﻓﻘﺪان اﻟﺘﻨﻮع اﻟﺒﻴﻮﻟﻮﺟﻲ ﺻﺤﺔ اﻟﻜﻮﻛﺐ‬
‫وﻟﻪ ﺗﺄﺛﻴﺮ ﻣﺒﺎﺷﺮ ﻋﲆ ﺣﻴﺎﺗﻨﺎ ﻛﻠﻬﺎ‪ .‬ﻟﻘﺪ اﻧﺨﻔﺾ اﻟﺘﻨﻮع اﻟﺒﻴﻮﻟﻮﺟﻲ اﻟﻌﺎﻟﻤﻲ ﺑﺸﻜﻞ ﻣﺜﻴﺮ ﻟﻠﻘﻠﻖ‬
‫ﺧﻼل ﻧﺼﻒ ﻗﺮن‪ :‬أﻛﺜﺮ ﻣﻦ ‪ 25000‬ﻧﻮع ‪ ،‬ﻣﺎ ﻳﻘﺮب ﻣﻦ ﺛﻠﺚ اﻷﻧﻮاع اﻟﻤﻌﺮوﻓﺔ ‪ ،‬ﻣﻌﺮﺿﺔ‬
‫ﺟﻤﻴﻌﺎ ﻓﻲ ﻣﻼﺣﻈﺔ ذﻟﻚ ‪ ،‬وأﻋﺘﻘﺪ أﻧﻨﺎ ﺗﺮﻛﻨﺎ ﻧﺘﺴﺎءل ﻋﻤﺎ إذا ﻛﺎن‬
‫ً‬ ‫ﻟﺨﻄﺮ اﻻﻧﻘﺮاض‪ .‬ﻟﻘﺪ ﺑﺪأﻧﺎ‬

 Translation
To my Dear Inhabitants,

Why do you not care about others' lives? The first ones to step foot
on nature are going extinct as day goes by. There are 7.7 billion
others that also require your resources to sustain their lives, and it
sometimes feels like no one is doing anything to help. Loss of
Biodiversity underpins the health of the planet and has a direct
impact on all our lives. World biodiversity has declined alarmingly in
half a century: more than 25,000 species, almost a third of those
known, are in danger of disappearing. We’re all starting to notice, and
I think we’re left wondering if any of our efforts actually matter?

‫ وﺗﻤﻮت ﺑﺒﻂء‬، ‫ﻟﻸﻓﻀﻞ أو اﻟﺒﻘﺎء ﺳﺎﻛ ًﻨﺎ وﻣﺸﺎﻫﺪة ﻣﻨﺰﻟﻚ‬.
Next, there are rapid advancements in technology and clean energy happening
right before our eyes. But due to how advanced you’ve all become. Your
creations highly affect your “only home” and are now destroying it. Your use of

airplanes, factories, spray cans and many more technologies with high chemical
reactions. However, over the past 30 years humans have made progress in
stopping damage to the ozone layer by curbing the use of certain chemicals.
But more remains to be done to protect and restore the atmospheric shield.
Now, it’s your choice to make a move and change for the better or just stay still
and watch your home, slowly die.
