Curriculum reflection

The components contained in the document are on the social, emotional development of

the toddlers. The composition; California preschool program identifies elements such as

observation, documentation, reflection, and knowledge implementation by the toddlers and the

teachers who instruct them. It is categorized as the process that the toddlers will be taking in

sensitive information and their way of interpretation despite their young age.

All the above components are critical in the lives of a toddler. The issues of

implementation are the main in the lives of these toddlers. They might be creating the knowledge

or acquiring them by observation. The performance turns out to be the most critical in this

situation. It needs professionals for the implementation of this element.

The phrase that children actively construct knowledge has different forms of meaning. It

means that after birth, many children concentrate on the creation of their knowledge. They

perform this by experimenting, participating, and observing their fellow children and even the

adults. The children construct knowledge in this way and keep on building the knowledge on

what they already know.

Children learn based on principles like constructing concepts such as numbers, stories,

causality, and spiritual relations. The second principle of learning is when children get to

building skills such as drawing, negotiating on matters conflicts, movement with ease, and

communication of ideas together with feelings. The last principle is based on the children's

development of dispositions like empathy, responsibility, and thoughtfulness.

There are several examples where there is learning in pre-schooling. At this part, children

learn through singing which helps in gaining knowledge of learning how to read. The other

examples are fun and games. Preschoolers get to enjoy much the aspect of learning through such

physical means, hence paving the way for the next learning level.
