Welcome!
Welcome to the Mediterranean Summer CAL!!! The blanket is made of three different square designs
with two of the squares featuring a sun design at the centre. There is a ripple section and band of little
squares edged with arch motifs and little ‘sunbeams’. The finished blanket is edged with a pretty border
to finish off. The CAL last for 6 weeks starting on 20th September 2019. Also, don't forget to join the

The pattern is suitable for Intermediate crocheters and Adventurous Beginners.
Skill All special stitches are explained in the pattern.
Achieved using Deramores Studio DK and 4mm hook, the finished blanket will
Size measure approximately 142 cm x 180 cm.
You'll need a 4mm (G/6) size crochet hook for this design. If you are a very tight
Hook crocheter you may want to go up a hook size. And, if a very loose crocheter go down
a size.
There are three colour packs to choose from using Deramores Studio DK. If you are
Yarn using your own colour palette use the yarn requirements below to work out what
you'll need. Mediterranean Summer was designed with Deramores Studio DK so I
heartily recommend you use that yarn to avoid any compatibility issues. You can
grab your yarn packs or selection your own colours over at www.deramores.com.

Week One square should measure 44cm after blocking. If your squares are smaller
Tension or larger than this measurement try changing hook size but be aware this may
change the amount of yarn you’ll use. Ultimately, if your measurements are a little
different to those in the pattern the overall blanket will still fit together so use the

Lightly mist the squares with tepid water. Pin
out on a flat surface making sure to even out
any wobbly bits. Aim to get your squares to
approximately measure 44 cm x 44 cm. Leave
pinned until dry.

Using colour G, join squares together to make a
