1. 1 st Use :
We can use “Had been” when talking about 2 events in the past.
Example : When I visited milan last year, I had never been to Italy before
2. 2nd use :
Lets discuss the second use the present perfect continuos form. Actions or situations
that started in tge past and still continuing now
Example :
• I have been studying English for 3 years
• I have been studying English since 2016
• William has been watching tv since midday
• William has been watching tv for 4 hours
Only use “had been” if there were two actions in the past. One continuos action, and one
ingle, finished actions.
Example : I have been studying English For 3 years and I finished
3. PASSIVE VOICE
Sentence where the subject of the sentence is not the actor of an action, but is the recipient
of the action.
