FIU Dual Enrollment

Complete the following initial cardiovascular assessments during class:

❖ 1-Mile Walk Test (Lab 5-2, Activity 1)


❖ 1.5-Mile Run Test (Lab 5-2, Activity 2)
❖ YMCA Step Test (Lab 5-2, Activity 3)

Upon completion, write a minimum 2 page paper outlining the following:

❏ Define the three tests you’ve completed in class (5 points)


❏ Evaluate your personal results from these tests and determine what
an appropriate fitness rating should be. (5 points)
❏ Define the FITT principle (5 points)
❏ Define the Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans (5 points)
❏ Detail a daily and weekly plan for cardiovascular improvement by the
end of the semester utilizing the FITT principle and Physical Activity
Guidelines for Adult Americans. This can be done in a calendar
format. (30 points)

Total Points = 50
Well to begin with I`m pretty happy with my personal
results I think I did good regardless that I forgot to
record my results sometimes but I would say that I
reach my goal in this project that I had on mind of
course I`m not done I need the six pack if I want the
ladies coming around me but for this is fine, so the
three different test that I had were pretty good no
much of a problem if I`m honest mostly was running
and recording that every single time and then give
an opinion of the activity is not that bad so another
thing that is really good to talk about is that I have
good results I`m really happy with all of these results
is something I`m proud of something that is a big
relief for me here in America exercise is something
that a lot of people should do is move more do more
physical activity is important and make time to at
least to run a mile or walk two instead of staying in
the house all day playing call of duty which I`m guilty
for but still I know what is better for me and
sometimes we just want to do nothing because why
not is easier to do that then actual exercise but is
important to be careful with our weight because
being fat is not being beautiful or healthy now the
FITT principle means a plan for the people to start
being more healthy and more active at least that’s
the idea of this thing because you know there are a
lot of fatties and a lot of problems related with
overweight issues we need to understand that is a
big concern our body weight our life will get shorter
will be really painful people will judge you they will
be mean and only that but you are going to be really
limited to do a lot of things and believe is horrible I
used to be overweighted and boy what a time like it
was so bad to live with the big belly and chubby legs
not able to even climb some normal ladders yeah
that sucks a lot that’s why I`m saying this because
by experience because it was something that I don’t
want to see nobody to be trough so yeah remember
eat healthy, be healthy and have more physical
activity is important for us because if not then man
forget about living past 42 cause believe me you aint
gonna make it
