Denby’s “High-School Confidential: Notes on Teen Movies” endeavors to kick start a

debate to cliché those taking part in many of these shows. Looking at his explanation on the

same, he says that it momentarily provides for a foreigner, a player and the socialite the trend

which has then become very obvious. He alleges that the roles played are to some extent over

hyperbolized together with the fact that they really doesn’t create that clear picture of the outside

world. Therefore from his works it’s obvious that he implies that most shows are jotted just

because its unproblematic task to undertake.similarly, that the writer only brings in those players

that audience are able to connect to with much ease.

According to Denby, the athletes will always have a disappointing end while on the other

hand the intellectualist will have the win and this is way opposite of the real life happenings. The

induction of regular casts make it very easy to anyone to guess the end result of the movie and

this makes it very dull. Using the proposition put forward by Denby in her workings, this essay is

going to analyze “One Tree Hill “hence determine all the ways applied without forgetting to run

it against Denby’s work.

The public has been greatly affected by the TV to a very large extent. It’s here that many

get to incarnate a number of philosophies, morals and principles. However currently, most of the

media companies do provide stories because at the end there is something for them they are

getting. Nevertheless, through the story telling a number of opinions are brought down to the

people with no thought of the repercussions.in some manner we can say that Denby is on the

right on his reservations about the athlete casts and the thinking that most script writers write

without relating to what they are writing about. However, in the show “One Tree Hill” the author

explores the lives of two brothers while in school “Nathan Scott” together with “Lucas Scott” the

narrative talks about the two brother’s life in school and their connection to the other gender.as

opposed to Denby allegations, this show talks about that which befalls most students while in

high school and their growth form teenage to adulthood.

Regarding the stock assumptions in “One Tree Hill”, the show has well managed to stick

to a number formalities. The shows contains a sort of prejudice on the group and very

predominant opinions on gender and sexuality (Crowley, 2019).it contains a few white kids who

are testing on their carnality by appreciating financial and communal difference among their

peers. The show has taken into account all the formalities and also incarnated different views that

affects numerous young adults in high school. Are the same matters that young adults see as very

essential and thus would go to any extent so that they are sorted.

One of the major themes brought out by this show relates directly to do with

interpersonal connections, as portrayed by Lukas and Payton Sawyer, individuality, clear spell

out of gender based duties as well as those questions that relates to one’s appearances. Every cast

in this show brings out a specific picture of oneself.” Lukas Scott” can be viewed as the

bookworm here, Peyton is the aggressive cheerer that is carried away by emotions especially

through music,” Nathan Scott” on the other hand is the one with fine looks and a basketball

player who is very egocentric and cheeky. “Haley Scott” becomes the most exciting character

who does not tolerate anyone going around messing with her .then we have “Brooke Davis” seen

as the swart who happens to be the prettiest around and wanted by all.

Its thus very clear that the show “One Tree Hill “ is very different to others shows that are

mostly driven by getting rated and the pay.yeah most people may have been out here to get a pay

in the show but it ultimately brings out the clear picture of high school life without appearing to

be obvious. The communal stereotyping such as racism, gender groupings and eroticism have

perfectly been featured and explained comprehensively.

In conclusion, other than just viewing teen shows as form of entertainment, the all-

rounded characterization in these show do come with a lot of education to the general public.as

several of these shows do target young adults hence no surprised that they are scripted in such a

way that they do discuss life of the teenagers
