1. The Documents listed in paragraph 1 of the appendix have been examined for compliance with Part
5, Chapter 25 and Part 6, Chapters 1 & 2 the Rules and Regulations for the Classification of Ships, July
2020 and are assigned an appraisal status as indicated, subject to satisfactory resolution of the
following matters: -

1.1 The status of type approval for newly added circuit breakers and cables is to be advised. AQP

CONTROL BLOCK DIAGRAM (DRWG. NO.: H00123-E-103A)


1.2 The status of type approval for newly added cables is to be advised. AQP
1.3 A gas detection system with audible and visual alarm is to be provided for spaces, where dangerous AQP
gas could be present. For flammable atmospheres, the BWTS shutdown is to be activated at a
flammable concentration of not more than 60 per cent of LFL. The alarm is also to be provided at
manned ballast water control station(s) and in the engine control room, as applicable. Audible and
visual alarm signals are to be activated both locally and at the control station(s) when the
flammable concentration reaches a pre-set value, which should not be higher than 30 per cent of
the LFL of the product concerned.
1.4 Confirmation is requested that BWTS shutdown is activated upon failure of ventilation system in AQP
accordance with Part 5, Chapter 25, Section 10.4.1 of the Rules.
1.5 Clarification is requested that activation of by-pass or isolation arrangements is to activate an alarm AQP
in all stations from which the ballast water operations are controlled and be automatically recorded
in control equipment in accordance with Part 5, Chapter 25, Section 9.1.9 of the Rules.
1.6 It is to be confirmed during survey that modification of software on-board system are to be under AQS
taken in accordance with Part 6, Chapter 1, Section 1.5.2 of the Rules.

UPDATED HAZARDOUS AREA PLAN (DRWG. NO.: H.00123-E-113)


1.7 Electrical equipment, cable and etc, located within the range of H2 VENT (DEGAS-1&2) OUTLET is AQP
to be suitable for hazardous area zone in accordance with Part 6, Chapter 2, Section 14 of the
Rules.
1.8 Air inlets for non-hazardous enclosed spaces of accommodation shall be taken from non-hazardous AQP
areas at least 1.5m from the boundries of H2 VENT (DEGAS-1&2) OUTLET in accordance with IEC
60092-502, 8.2.5.
