This chapter proffers the related literature and studies after thorough and in-depth forage done by

researchers. This chapter includes the ideas, finished thesis, generalizations or conclusions,

methodologies and others. Those that were included in this chapter helps in familiarizing

information that are relevant and similar to the present study.

Stress has become an imperative topic in academic loop. Wide-range of research carried out on

stress and its outcomes in the field of behavioral sciences and concluded that area of stress

required more attention (Agolla, J.E., 2009). Attending college is the positive experience for

many, yet many students also experience college as chronically stressful due to requirements i.e.

exams, papers, presentations (Murphy & Archer, 1996). With the appearance of a new corona

virus that has spread throughout the world, there has been a huge shift in our way of life. The

novel corona virus disease (COVID-19) has been declared by the World Health Organization as

health emergency. Owing to its high infectivity, countries all over the world implemented

nationwide lockdowns with the hope of flattening the curve. On a global scale, this has led to the

closure of schools over 150 countries affecting the education of nearly 1 billion children. As a

result, education has changed dramatically, with the distinctive rise of e-learning through which

teaching is undertaken remotely and on digital platforms. (Sahu, 2020).
