XCTPS is the control/ PSU board, and it consists of control module, switching
module, clock module, and PSU module. XCTPS supports 1+1 card
redundancy.
XCTPS-A and XCTP-B are known as XCTPS.
The difference between XCTPS-A and XCTPS-B is that the load impedance of
E1 interfaces in XCTPS -A is 75Ω and 120Ω in XCTPS -B.
XCTPS is the core of 7090-92 M equipment and it supports the following
functions:
 Forwarding and scheduling functions: SWITCH FABRIC architecture
supports 92G non-blocking wire-speed forwarding, provides 32 E1
simulation.
 Supports temperature check and temperature alarm.
 Provides check by Inventory.
 Supports push in/ out online.
 Supports hardware/ software reset.
 Supports PSU hot-standby.
 Supports automatically saving system configuration data to flash drive.

2.4.2 Operating Principle of XCTPS Board

XCTPS board of 7090-92 M can be classified into the following functional

units:
 Clock Unit
 Service Processing and Dispatching Unit
 System Control and Communication Management Unit
 Power Supply Unit
The operating principle of XCTPS board is shown below in Figure 2, and their
function description is shown in Table 8.
