05 LabExer 01 – Inventory and Batch & Serial Numbers

Creating a new warehouse:
In Modules tab click on Administration > Setup>Inventory>Warehouses>then choose create
NOTE: in setting a new location you must click on Define New

Then enter the needed info.

Then, click Add

Creating Goods Receipt to Warehouse
In Modules tab click on Inventory>Inventory Transactions>Goods Receipt>then select create

Note: if an instance happens where warehouse column is not present, click on the Form
Settings>Table Format>Check the Whse (Warehouse)

Then enter Item No. , Quantity and Warehouse, then click Add
Finally check the inventory

Inventory Transfer
First check the inventory of the item
Then proceed to the inventory transfer
Inventory>Inventory Transaction>Inventory Transfer>Enter the needed information, then click
Add

To view the inventory report, go to Inventory>Inventory Reports>Inventory in Warehouse Report

Then enter the Code and Warehouse Name, then click ok.

Output:

Then check the after inventory;

Goods Issue
In Modules tab click on Inventory>Inventory Transactions>Goods Issue
Enter Item No., Quantity, Whse and Remarks and then click Add, Yes.
Next go to Inventory in Warehouse Report. Inventory>Inventory Reports>Inventory in
Warehouse Report.

Note: check the Cebu City to decrease the number of inventories.

Output:
Check the current inventory

Batch and Serial Numbers

Create an item managed by Batches. Inventory>Item Master Data>Select Create
Enter Item Number, Description, Price List, Unit Price. Select Managed by: Batches, then On
Every Transaction

Then create an item managed by Serial Numbers. Inventory>Item Master Data>Select Create
Enter the needed information and Select managed by: Serial Number, then On Every
Transaction. Click Add

Create Good receipt for the to items. Purchasing A/P>Goods Receipt PO

Enter Vendor, Item No., Quantity

Right click on the quantity of K2000, and click Batch/Serial Numbers

Click Automatic Creation

Click on the browser icon for the Serial Number field and enter information

Then click Ok. Then Create and Update.

Serial Numbers are created.

Next enter the additional information in Manufacturing Date, Mfr. Warranty Start and Mfr.
Warranty End on each row.
