VST Expression Maps

for Vienna Symphonic Library

SYNCHRON-ized Special Editions 1-7

Introduction
For using the contained VST Expression Maps, Cubase 6 or higher is required.

 You can add VST Expression Maps to existing projects by opening the VST Expression Map
Setup, then loading the desired map(s) - left column - and load a matching map into each
instrument track or MIDI track (from the Cubase track inspector).

Take care that the root note in the Expression Maps Setup windows is set to C0. Otherwise the
keyswitches will be shifted.

Expression Maps and Presets

All included VST Expression Maps can only work correctly, if the corresponding Synchron Player
presets under Factory/SYNCHRON-ized Special Edition are loaded. Most articulations in the
Expression Maps correspond directly in name with the slot names in the Synchron Player presets
and should be self-explanatory. Here are some not so obvious exceptions.

Sustain XF Tremolo can be triggered with the articulations “non legato” AND “tremolo”.

Tremolo marcato can be triggered with the articulations “detache” AND “tremolo”.

Legato repetitions (PLUS content) can be triggered with the articulation “Repetition”.

Staccato or Spiccato repetitions (PLUS content) can be triggered with the articulations “Repetition”
AND “short”.
