This procedure is used to change important settings that have normally al-
ready been set in the factory.
► Only carry out this procedure if the most important parameters were not
configured in the factory or if the control system is to be reset.

3. Calibrate scale:
► Select ADC.CALW parameter.
► Enter the total weight of the calibration weights. The calibration weight
should be 30...100 % of the load capacity.
► Fasten the calibrations weights symmetrically in the intended places.
► Press for 1 second.
→ A rotating clock symbol is displayed. Do not touch the scale during this
process.
The following applies depending on the value of the SYS.REM parameter (local
or remote control):
Recipes can only be written when the REC parameter group is available in the
application. We would only recommend using recipes if working with different
products. Recipe mode is always activated for some applications, e.g. bagging
controls, and does not have to be activated in such cases.

1. Activate recipe mode.
► Select the “TCON.RECM” parameter.
► Select the MAIN or USER value.
→ Depending on the value selected, the parameters for loading (LOAD) and
saving (SAVE) recipes are in either the MAIN or USER parameter group.
3. Load recipe (loading an existing recipe from the memory to working recipe
0)
► Select “USER.LOAD” or “MAIN.LOAD” parameter.
► Press for 1 second.
► Use + or to select the recipe required.
► Press again.
→ OK is displayed.

Step Description
No information. Parameters can always be adjusted.
C Parameters can be adjusted when the calibration switch is set to CAL.
L Parameter can be adjusted if LOCK parameter = OFF.
Locked if LOCK parameter = LOW/MED/HIGH.
M Parameter can be adjusted if LOCK parameter = OFF/LOW.
Locked if LOCK parameter = MED/HIGH.
H Parameter can be adjusted if LOCK parameter = OFF/LOW/MED.
Locked if LOCK parameter = HIGH.
A Hide parameter if SYS.HIDE = ON.
The input lock is set with the “SYS.LOCK” parameter. It is deactivated by de-
fault. See page 44, parameter “SYS.LOCK”.
The value of the “parameter number” stands for the parameter that is displayed
after a certain time if no button is pressed during this time. It is set in the
“SYS.SD” parameter.
If the SD parameter has the value 1, for example, the parameter of the USER
parameter group whose parameter number has the value 1 is used.

8.2.3 REC (recipe parameters) parameter group
This number is only used for viewing or changing recipes. 0 = working recipe.
■ Only available when TCON.RECM = ON.
The range is set with the TCON.MINW and TCON.MAXW parameters. If there is
a number after the parameter, this is the recipe number.
Filling is cut off to achieve the nominal dump DWTS exactly. This parameter is
automatically optimized if a value > 0 is entered in the TCON.CTWT parameter.
If there is a number after the parameter, it is the recipe number.
Is only used if nominal total weight > 0. Switches off the feed (using the “Cut-off
point reached” output) in order to reach a total amount (e.g. at product loading).
If there is a number after the parameter, this is the recipe number.

Stocks of spare parts and parts subject to wear are an important requirement for
the permanent operational readiness of the control system.
Bühler spare parts often fulfil special manufacturing and delivery specifications.
Bühler sells spare parts in accordance with state-of-the-art technology.
Only spare parts delivered by Bühler are inspected and approved. Spare parts
from other sources might negatively change the prescribed constructional quali-
ties of the control system and/or impair safety.

11.7 Calibration
Depending on the version, the MEAG control unit may be used for traffic with
mandatory calibration requirements. The scale must be fitted with an LC module
for this purpose. A calibration sign is stuck next to the display.
The calibration switch on the EBD 1312 main circuit board prevents settings be-
ing changed without authorization. To set parameters, move the calibration
switch to CAL. The following parameters correspond to the calibration data and
must be set as per the calibration sign:
Secure the calibration switch with the calibration cover and a safety decal.
Punch in the value of the SERV.CALCNT parameter on the safety decal
(CALCNT counts the number of switch movements).

Chapter 11 Appendix 95
11.7.2 Calibration memory
The device is fitted with a calibration memory. This stores a data record each
time “Clear total” is carried out. A data record comprises the time and date, the
ID number, the total weight and the checksum. The calibration memory compris-
es a FLASH memory permanently fitted on the EBD 1312 main circuit board.
This can store 120,000 entries and is structured as a circular buffer. If the mem-
ory overflows, the oldest entries are overwritten. The MAIN.JOBID parameter
displays the saved data.
For the dynamic test, the gross weight and the tare can be checked for every
dump. See MAIN.DTST parameter.
