Banishing is considered a stronger, more extreme form of cleansing.

Banishing is done to force

a negative or unwanted entity or person to leave you and your space.

There are many ways to banish an entity. Any cleansing method can work, but the intentions
must be to drive out the entity.

Sound cleansing, or the use of sound to drive out unwanted energies, is a common method.
Sound cleansing can be done with any type of loud, forceful sound (tibetan singing bowl, pots
and pans, etc).

Another method is the burn-it-away banishing, or writing the entity's name on a piece of paper
and burning it.

You can also give the entity orders to leave. Saying something like “This is not the place for you,
and it’s time for you to leave. It is time for you to move on, and we wish you the best in your
new place" can force the entity to move on.

For people, a full-scale banishing ritual may be necessary. These rituals usually include the name
of the person you want to banish, and the intention of what you want the person to do ("susan
will leave me alone at work"/"harold will stop talking to me on the bus"). A taglock can also be
used.
