Grammar-demonstrative adjectives

Demonstrative adjectives and pronouns are used to show which people,

animals, places or things we are talking about. ‘ This ’ is used with
someone or something near to us. ‘ That ’ is used with someone or
something far from us. ‘ These ’ is the plural form of ‘ this ’ and
‘ those ’ is the plural form of ‘ that ’.

Note : A demonstrative adjentive is followed by a noun while a

demonstrative pronoun stands on its own.

Demostrative adjectives :
Examples :
* This book is mine. / These books are mine.
* That house is big. / Those houses are big.

Demonstrative pronouns :
Examples :
* This is her purse. / These are her purses.
* That is your key. / Those are your keys.
