Technology has become an addiction to many individuals.

Indeed, the internet has become the

most useful and persistent technological tools of the new generation, and its use has become a

daily affair for many people, regardless of age or the technical sense. My thesis statement is

“The internet as well as technology significantly affected our privacy”.

Surfing the net, most people use personal information, which they believe disappears upon their

login off from the internet. On the contrary, internet works like a bag that stores all that a user

accesses while online platform. While the internet has created a significant positive impact on

society, threats to personal privacy and security have equally emerged [ CITATION Xav16 \l 4105 ].

Social media has fast developed, allowing people to share lots of personal information. Do

people care about the privacy and safety of such information? While there is a common ground

that the Internet has already changed the meaning of privacy, a careful examination of the critical

issues about internet use as well as privacy proves that the Internet has not destroyed privacy,

although it has changed forever.
