In what way is the Tale of Sinuhe related to the story of the Prodigal Son from
the Bible?
When the prodigal son left their house and got his inheritance, Sinuhe left as
well when the King died. When the prodigal son’s money was gone he worked
in his father’s farm feeding the pigs and eating their food, just like Sinuhe they
wanted to return to their land but is in doubt. Lastly when the prodigal son came
back to his Father he was overjoyed because he forgave him and celebrated his
return. He is told to change his appearance but is forgiven by the King for his
earlier departure and is even offered a prestigious position.
