THE NATURE/ IMPACTS OF CHRISTIANITY.

Christian religion base their beliefs on the life, teachings and death of Jesus
Christ of Nazareth. It is also known as an Abrahamic monotheistic religion
(believe in one God, whom they call Father as Jesus Christ taught them.). It's
believed that it started 2000 years ago in Judea in the middle east and it was
well known as Judaism, this is supported by (Christianity: Basic Beliefs | URI,
2017) which emphasizes that “Christians believe that his father was the Holy
Spirit of God, making Jesus both fully human and fully divine”. According to
both Christian and Jewish, they believe that the Bible/ Torah was written by
people who were inspired by the holy spirit and it is divided into two parts new
testaments and old testaments. The implication of this for Christian worldwide
is that the Holy Bible is the word of God, and Jesus is believed by Christians to
be the Christ- sone of God (Messiah).

THE ANTICIPATION OF MESSIAH AND REVELATION.

In the first century, many believed that the Messiah would be a political party in
the line of King David who would overthrow Roman emperors and liberate
oppressed Jews. So, for century Jews were expecting the coming of their
saviour Messiah, who is Jesus Christ of Nazareth; Jesus was born as a Jew in
Bethlehem, his mother known as Mary and his father as Joseph. He lived in
Palestine at first, His main aim was to renew the Jewish religion in the spirit of
the prophets of Israel and not to break away from Judaism. This is supported by
(Dunn, J.D., 1997) that He came to fulfil God’s will, of saving his people and to
renew the Jewish religion.

Christians believe that God is the source of revelation, He reveal Himself

through Jesus, who later gave us The Holy Spirit as the third person in Trinity.
Holy Spirit has inspired the writing of the Christian sacred text, bible, and He is
still strengthening the Christian faith to teach the truth of the bible. In
Revelation 1:18, the chapter in which John sees himself identifies himself as
"the First and the Last," who "was dead, and behold, I am alive for evermore,"
this was a reference to the resurrection of Jesus; the implications of this for
Christians all over the world is that the hope of resurrection after death.
JESUS FACTS/ TEACHINGS.

Before Jesus was born, Jewish believed that He would bring justice among
people, that he would be a king of the poor, oppressed, and those who had no
voice. As Jesus grow up his disciple believes that he is a son of God, and
through believing in him and his teaching they would inherit eternal life (41
Bible Verses about Eternal Life, 2021). Throughout Jesus teaching, He did not
intend to found a new religion. Jesus thought to renew Judaism in the spirit of
the prophets, his main intention was calling people to return to the demands of
the covenant. There is no evidence to prove that his intention was to found a
new religion, although he left very few instructions like

● Preach, teach and heal.

The main focus of Jesus teaching was the reign of God (kingdom). The reign of
God is whereby God value (love, peace, cooperation, tolerance and justice). He
gave his disciple the first and the greatest commandment that “You must love
the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind. ' This is
the first and greatest commandment. A second is 'Love your neighbour as
yourself. ' (Matthew 22: 36-40). These implications are supported by obeying
the greatest commandment of love we will surely live-in peace and harmony
and God will be happy with us. After giving the two greatest commandments he
continues saying “The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based
on these two commandments” which are the ten commandments. He also taught
them how to pray the prayer of “Our Father” (biblehub.com, 2004).

There are so many things that He taught his followers like beatitudes and
parables. His three basic teachings included the need for justice, morality, and
service to others. The Beatitudes teach us how to “be peace,” not just be at
peace, but to become peace so that peace can spread, and that peace can come
from being rooted both in the life of God and in the physical world. The main
message in the parables of Jesus is to reveal mysteries to those on the inside and
to conceal the truth to those on the outside who would not hear (Stein, R.H.,
1981).

DEATH AND RESSURECTION.

Jesus was arrested, tried and condemned to death. Roman prefect Pontius Pilate
issued the order to kill Jesus after being pressured by Jewish leaders who
alleged that Jesus was guilty of a variety of crimes, including blasphemy.
According to scripture, three days after his crucifixion, Jesus’s body was
missing, but according to the Authors in the bible say he resurrect from death as
it’s written that messiah would be born and crucified for our sins. These
implications are supported by the coming of our saviour, to die for our sins
brings us eternal life. In Christian theology, the death and resurrection of Jesus
are the most important events, a foundation of the Christian faith, and
commemorated by Easter. Jesus death and resurrection were a necessary part of
his mission. His death made salvation and forgiveness of sins possible for all,
his death and resurrection gave hope of life after death to all Christians
(Christianity fast facts 2020).

CONCLUSION.

From its beginning with a tiny group of Jesus' followers, Christianity has spread
all over the world. Today, it is practised by two billion people. As with a large
group, Christianity has experienced many different interpretations,
disagreements and struggles for power over the centuries. These have led to the
growth of many different branches of Christianity interpreting the life, death
and resurrection of Jesus in different ways. Although most Christian
denominations have different views, hold different traditions and rituals in
different ways, their faith is rooted in the life and teachings of Jesus.
