Who is Judah and Tamar- In Genesis chapter 38, Tamar is first described as marrying Judah's eldest
son, Er. Because of his wickedness, Er was killed by God.[2] By way of a Levirate union,[3] Judah asked
his second son, Onan, to provide offspring for Tamar so that the family line might continue. Tikva
Frymer-Kensky explains that this could have substantial economic repercussions, with any son born
deemed the heir of the deceased Er, and able to claim the firstborn's double share of inheritance.
However, if Er was childless, Onan would inherit as the oldest surviving son.[4]Onan performed coitus
interruptus. His actions were deemed wicked by God and so, like his older brother, he died prematurely.
At this point, Judah is portrayed as viewing Tamar to be cursed and therefore as being reluctant to give
her his remaining and youngest son Shelah. Rather, he tells Tamar to wait for Shelah. However, even
after Shelah has grown up, Judah still does not give Tamar to him in marriage. (Genesis 38:6–14)

2.Who is Luke-St. Luke, also called Saint Luke the Evangelist, (flourished 1st century CE; feast day
October 18), in Christian tradition, the author of the Gospel According to Luke and the Acts of the
Apostles, a companion of St. Paul the Apostle, and the most literary of the New Testament writers.
Information about his life is scanty. Tradition based on references in the Pauline Letters has regarded
him as a physician and a Gentile. He probably accompanied Paul on several missionary journeys.

4.Luke 2:25-35-25 Now there was a man in Jerusalem called Simeon, who was righteous and devout. He
was waiting for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was on him. 26 It had been revealed to him
by the Holy Spirit that he would not die before he had seen the Lord’s Messiah. 27 Moved by the Spirit,
he went into the temple courts. When the parents brought in the child Jesus to do for him what the
custom of the Law required, 28 Simeon took him in his arms and praised God, saying:29 “Sovereign
Lord, as you have promised, you may now dismiss[a] your servant in peace.30 For my eyes have seen
your salvation,31 which you have prepared in the sight of all nations:32 a light for revelation to the
Gentiles, and the glory of your people Israel.”33 The child’s father and mother marveled at what was said
about him. 34 Then Simeon blessed them and said to Mary, his mother: “This child is destined to cause
the falling and rising of many in Israel, and to be a sign that will be spoken against, 35 so that the
thoughts of many hearts will be revealed. And a sword will pierce your own soul too.”
