To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing this letter of reference for Alexandra Crispo, a candidate for a teaching position in your school district. I had
the pleasure of supervising Alex, as her field supervisor during her professional semester placement. Alexandra was in a
suburban kindergarten for her first and second placement. She maintained a safe environment. used various management
strategies. She was proactive in stating expectations and following through with management. She used appropriate
standard oral and written English. She always gave clear and concise directions. She created and implemented lessons
that met objectives and state standards. Her lesson planning was excellent and thorough. She created lessons that were
engaging for students. She used a variety of instructional techniques such as direct instruction, demonstration, guided
practice, Read Aloud, interactive, and independent practice. Alexandra integrated technology into most of her lessons
using the smart board. Alexandra has a good sense of pedagogy and used creative ideas throughout her lessons. She is
aware of student needs and accommodates when necessary. This was confirmed by the mentor teacher. She is patient and
responds to students’ questions.

Alexandra accepted constructive criticism and implemented suggestions. She had a unique opportunity that she could
teach her lessons in the morning and then discuss them with her mentor. When the afternoon group would attend, she
would then implement the changes that were discussed. She was self-motivated, dependable, cooperative, and
responsible. She demonstrated initiative throughout this assignment. She has developed into a confident and proactive
teacher that is compassionate, hardworking, and organized. I recommend Alex for a teaching position within your district.
She is a fine representation of what academic and teaching excellence truly encompasses. If you need any further
