    Radio code must be read out with VCADS


    Concerns:
    TYPE-FH/FM/FL/FE
    With the new type of radio (introduced 2008 week 37).
    Variant: AUD-CDB, AUD-CDM.

    Problem:
    The radio code is wrong/missing in central system after retrofit or replacement of the
    new type of radio.

    Reason:
    For the new type of radio no radio code is supplied with the radio from Volvo Parts.
    When fitted in production the radio code is put into the central systems automatically,
    but when retrofitting/exchanging a radio, the new code has to be added in the central
    systems manually afterwards.

    Action:
    After fitting the radio and programming MID206 it is essential that the parameter
    JIK (= the new radio code) is read out with VCADS and the radio code reported to VPCS
    Technical Team for updating of the Central System.
    Reading out the JIK-parameter is the only way to find out the radio code after retrofitting
    a new radio.
