Executive summary

In this report we have presented the management process of Ananto Group. For
this we went to the organization and did both primary and secondary survey in
order to enrich our report. We talked to the managers of different departments
and gathered information about how they implement management principles in
their business. Their vision, mission, objectives are presented here which we got
from them. Their main target is to become the leading industrial goods supplier of
the country. Their planning, organizing and controlling process is discussed in this
report. Here we have also discussed about some other aspects of management
too. Other than that we also talked about the scopes limitations and helpfulness
of this report. This report expanded our knowledge and gave us the scope to
explore various managerial sites of a business. In their managerial process Amaze
corporation follows about all the basic principles of management and implement
them in their day to day operations. They think about their employee satisfaction
and try to increase their productivity level. They don’t compromise with the
quality thinking about their consumer satisfaction. Their main motto is to supply
quality products to the industries and increase productivity level of them.

Introduction

4
Every institution, Organization, sect, household and business needs proper
management to ensure a smooth running of such Organizational set up. An
institution such as an educational institution, if not properly managed, planned
and controlled cannot achieve success. In a nutshell, good management needs to
be established. Human, material and financial resources must be present to
achieve managerial goals and objectives. If proper manpower budget is not well
planned, the Organization would be faced with a high risk failure. Individual staffs
control all the other resources of the Organization.
Cole (2002) posit that Human resources planning is not just a number game, even
though labor statistics are an important element in it. Human resource planning is
as much, if not more, concerned with the quality of personnel and with their
deployment throughout the Organization. (Maxwell J. 2001) Posit that “Stop
trying to grow your Organization. Work on people’s attitudes. If you do that, your
organization will experience 10% growth overnight”. In an Organization, people
are the most difficult resources to be managed. With this reason, proper care has
to be established in selecting personnel to man sensitive positions within an
Organization.
An administrative office need plan to source for its manpower. The idea of
selecting staff to man and occupy positions in most Organizations like the public
sector is known as recruitment and appointment. Administrative functions also
include discipline, promotion, training and the rest to achieve set targets. A
housewife who plans her day to day domestic functions like getting the home
tidied up, getting meals prepared at appropriate time, getting the children ready
for school, ensuring that they are performing greatly in their academics and
setting some control measures is already carrying out management act.
Management in a general context involves the act of getting things done and
evaluating performance which is known as controlling. Controlling is one
important aspect of management that ensures that things are done orderly that is
in a proper way. A micro business for instance a block industry that is just
establishing needs to carry out a feasibility study in determining how best the
business is to be managed in respect of costing, financing and in every expected
outcome. Raw materials like water, cement, soil and so on needs to be put into
consideration in the management of such businesses. It needs capital, assets like

5
land and building, plant and machinery, motor vehicle and so on for the
commencement of such. In a nutshell, management encompasses every spheres,
every activity, be it in religion, sports, market and so on.

Objective of the Study

This paper aims to provide a basis for the conceptual framework of practical
perspective of management. An attempt is made to highlight the following
aspects:
 Development of the management perspective
 Definition and meaning
 Importance of management
 Limitations of management
 Management practices in various organizations
Furthermore, this paper will convey recommendations based on findings and
analysis.

Scope of the study

As unconventional as it is, Management without a doubt has been playing a
significant role in the running of businesses. It has been particularly useful in
finding out the value of its employees and managers and the entire process of
management throughout the organizations, which is then conveyed through a
report. This report, known as the management report, is presented to the top
level management, and sometimes the employees, managers and investors,
which enable them to make proper and effective management decisions about
acquiring, allocating, developing and maintaining resources in order to achieve
the cost effective organizational objectives.

6
Moreover, management process is definitely an excellent way of monitoring the
effectiveness in the use of resources by the management, and has been helpful in
analyzing the assets of Organizations.

Limitation of the study

However, in preparing this paper, we felt like the biggest limitation of this study
was the time constraint that we were put through. Given a longer time period, we
suppose that we could have dug a little deeper perhaps, and found further
dimensions to this topic. Moreover, the topic is one that we had little knowledge
of from the beginning, so we might have had a narrow perception of some of the
topics covered in this paper. Also, these data are very confidential and companies
were not comfortable with sharing the information.

Methodology
The aim of this paper is, quite obviously, to elaborate on the relationship between
management and practical practices in companies, and its implications on the
management of the organization. The answers to all research questions are based
on web research or literature research and primary data as well. The data is
analyzed by our own judgment. A list of reference has also been prepared for any
kind of citation made, in order to prevent plagiarism
There are two types of sources for this methodology. One is primary and another
is secondary sources while conducting the study both primary and secondary
information were explored.
For this purpose we used our personal observation by directly visiting the head
office of Amaze Corporation , through a conversation with the AGM of HR dept. of
the company, We also got the information about the company .
The secondary Data Was collected from annual report, distinguished conceptual
matters websites and several published matter as articles in different versions of
printings
The secondary sources were:-

7
1. Ananta Group website
2. Other published documents of Amaze Corporation
3. We have surveyed relevant literature
4. Identify problem related to flow of logistic
5. Various book articles.

Literature review

Four basic function of management process are:

1. Planning and decision making
2. Organizing
3. Leading
4. Controlling

Planning and decision making: determining courses of action

8
Planning is looking ahead into the future and predicts possible trends or
occurrences which are likely to influence the working situation are the most vital
quality as well as the job of a manager.
Planning means setting an organization’s goal and deciding how best to achieve
them. Planning is decision making, regarding the goals and setting the future
course of action from a set of alternatives to reach them. Selecting goals as well
as the paths to achieve them is what planning involves.
Planning involves selecting missions and objectives and the actions to achieve
them, it requires decision-making or choosing future courses of action from
among alternatives.
In short, planning means determining what the organization’s position and the
situation should be at some time in the future and decide how best to bring about
that situation. For a manager, planning and decision-making require an ability to
foresee, to visualize, and to look ahead purposefully.

Organizing: coordinating activities and resources

Organizing can be defined as the process by which the established plans are
moved closer to realization. Organizing involves determining how activities and
resources are to be assembled and coordinated.
Organizing produces a structure of relationships in an organization and it is
through these structured relationships that future plans are pursued.
Organizing, then, is that part of managing which involves: establishing an
intentional structure of roles for people to fill in the organization.
It is intentional in the sense of making sure that all the tasks necessary to
accomplish goals are assigned to people who can do then best. The rules so
established must also be designed in the light of the abilities and motivations of
the people available. Basically organizing is deciding where decisions will be
made, who will do what jobs and tasks, who will work for whom, and how
resources will assemble.

Leading: Managing and Motivating People

9
The third basic managerial function is leading. The skills of influencing people for
a particular purpose or reason are called leading. Leading is considered to be the
most important and challenging of all managerial activities. Creating a positive
attitude towards the work and goals in among the members of the organization is
called leading.
Leading involves a number of deferment processes and activates. The functions of
direction, motivation communication, and coordination. Motivating is an essential
quality for leading. Motivating is the function of management process of
influencing people’s behavior based on the knowledge of what cause and channel
sustain human behavior in a particularly committed direction. Efficient managers
need to be effective leaders since leadership implies fellowship and people tend
to follow those who offer a means of satisfying their own needs, hopes and
aspirations it is understandable that leading involves motivation leadership styles
and approaches and communication.

Controlling: Monitoring and Evaluating activities

Monitoring the organizational progress toward goal fulfillment is called
controlling. Controlling is measuring, comparing, finding deviation and correcting
the organizational activities which are performed for achieving the goals or
objectives. Controlling consist of activities, like; measuring the performance,
comparing with the existing standard and finding the deviations, and correcting
the deviations. Some means of controlling, like the budget for expenses,
inspection records, and the record of labor hours lost, are generally familiar. Each
measure also shows whether plans are working out. It is rightly said, “Planning
without controlling is useless”. In short, we can say the controlling enables the
accomplishment of the plan. The management process designs and maintains an
environment in which personnel’s, working together in groups, accomplish
efficiently selected aims. All managers carry out the main functions of
management; planning, organizing, staffing, leading and controlling.

10
Managerial process of the company

Planning and decision making process:

First of all the company fixed a target amount of imported and exported products
for a year by holding a meeting with it’s heads. They fixed this amount by
recruiting its previous selling. Then the entire amount broken down and divided
into smaller component parts. And this smaller component of parts is given to
different departments. They asked them to complete their short rage plan
through the small components of amount. If any department failed to complete
its first quarter plan then it gets added to the next plan.

When the company face any kinds of problem or they need to take any decision
they held a meeting with its agents and parties and try to solve it by finding it’s
reasons. Sometimes they use contingency plan to achieve their short rang goals .

Organizing process
When the company plan its activities next they co-ordinates all the human
resources and materials by its core of dimension. They design the job, grouping it
distribute unity authority among the jobs, co-ordinate activities among jobs and
differentiate among the positions.

Leading
This company uses motivational processes to lead the staff. “A smile can lead
people to do more”. The association members influence their employees by a
positive behavior towards them. They follow the term “treat them like a king”

11
then the employees come to communicate with their higher ups. This make the
employees feel special and employees tend to work more after this

Controlling
Among the various process of controlling this company uses cost minimization.
Every agent is controlled by a head manager who responds to its higher up
If a problem arises in the working process then all the managers set up a meeting
to find out the problem and how to solve it. They compare their sales with their
standard and find out the deviation. If there is unexpected deviation then they set
up new plan for future thinking about their workers capabilities and resources.

Recommendation
After completing the survey we got to know the implementation of management
in practical life of a business organization. In no organization we will actually find
the exact principles of management to be followed. There will be some lackings.
In this organization where we went for survey we found the same. We
recommend the organization to improve their commission percentage as this will
motivate the employees or sales executive to work more efficiently and try to
bring more parties to expand their business. They can also try to bring new
household utensils then they will be able to capture more consumers for their
products. This will increase their profit margin. They should embrace content
marketing, not just for the benefits. Although it takes time, it’s what works very
well now, and probably the only marketing technique that will work in the future.
The price of a product is directly proportional to “perceived value”. If they can
make their product seem superior to their competitor, they can charge a
premium over your competitor. Advertising is essential to bring ones product to
the spotlight. They Make use of the advertising medium that best suits your
product, and the time it is released. Radio, television, print and internet are some
of the mediums you can rely upon to advertise your business.

12
Conclusion

After completing our survey we came to know about different aspects of

management that takes place in day to day activities of a business organization.
This survey helped us increasing our knowledge and gave us the opportunity to
explore the managerial site of a company. This will help us in our future corporate
life too. While doing this survey we understood the importance of management in
our life. This has expanded our vision. Special thanks to Amaze Corporation for
letting us know about their managerial process and help us do this report also
thanks for enriching our knowledge regarding this subject. The behavior of the
managers were pleasant and they were very much eager to provide answers to
our questions. Doing reports like this will improve our knowledge and will help us
to relate bookish topics with practical life.
