A CONCRETE ANSWER
In PNG, the resources industry faces many of the same developmental challenges that the fledgling nation does,
but as Mayur Resources executive director Tim Crossley told the Australian Mining Review, resources companies
are in a unique position to contribute to the nation building of PNG, especially in the electrification of the nation
and in the construction and operation of a lime mine and cement plant.
The development of a domestic cement plant in PNG has the potential to establish one of the foundational requirements of a modern nation.
